What would the Army do against a caravan of civilians, many of them women and children, anyway? Shoot them?
The Republicans see this caravan as the perfect issue to rally the base and insure a big, robust turnout for the mid-term elections now two weeks away. Democrats would like to pretend that the caravan is just a giant day-care center filled with needy children that the heartless president doesn’t care about.
This crisis calls for reason, patience, compassion and an immediate parlay among the affected nations in Central America, Mexico and the United States. In exchange for leniency and a path to citizenship for long-time undocumented residents already in this country--who were brought to the U.S. as children by their parents--pro-immigration advocates, like me, should announce our support for President Trump’s border wall. It will help restore order along the southern border, and mitigate the hysteria currently gripping the national immigration debate and tainting the mid-term elections.

Lindsey Graham supports the same thing.

The day he wins in court, what do we do with these young people? So I’d like to do a deal: Full wall funding for DACA.”
But here’s the catch: Graham explicitly rules out including any further reforms in the DACA-for-wall deal. Fox host Brian Kilmeade asked him if there would be additional reforms like ending chain migration. Sen. Graham answered, “Nope, keep it simple.” Translation: Congress should punt on needed immigration reforms and just go ahead and give an amnesty. But without ending chain migration, mandating E-Verify, and ending the Visa Lottery, the DACA amnesty could result in virtually limitless new immigrants.

Our politicians have been making “bargains” about ILLEGAL ALIENS for decades...that is what brought us to this point.
No deals...they need to go home, we need to continue to unravel the mess of laws, court decisions, ETC that have been put in place as roadblocks to enforcement and DEPORT those here now.

No, Jerry. It calls for immediate and unequivocal response to secure the borders of this sovereign nation.
Trump must:
1. Close the nation’s borders...ALL of them...temporarily.
2. Mobilize the military to seal the southern border, along with all Gulf ports. Nothing in without full inspection.
3. Direct the Customs Service to open and fully inspect EVERY box, carton, sack and container entering the US via southern ports. Back that damn traffic up clear to Mexico City.
4. Immediately HALT ALL money transfers to any nation to our south.
5. Stop ALL foreign aid transfers to any Central American nation and to Mexico.
6. Defy ANY Federal Judge who might ‘order’ payments to be made or persons to be allowed in. Immigration is the province of the EXECUTIVE branch. DJT can, Constitutionally, HALT ALL immigration AT WILL.
7. Mobilize the Great Silent Majority in his defense. We stand ready to respond to the call...locked, loaded, and prepared to die for this nation, just as I was when I was on active duty, so many years ago.
