A caravan of thousands of Honduran migrants is headed north in hopes of crossing the U.S. border. You may have heard some scary things about it. What's true and what's false? Here are five allegations bouncing around the internet that are definitely "alternative facts."
MYTH 1: It's being funded by Democrats.
Trump said at a campaign rally on Thursday that "a lot of money has been passing to people" traveling north from Honduras. A Republican from Florida, Rep. Matt Gaetz shared a short video that Trump later promoted of migrants being given cash and suggested that they were being funded by left-leaning activist and investor George Soros.
THE FACTS: There is no evidence the caravan is being led by anyone other than Hondurans.

It’s not NBC it’s the DNC. Tells you as a “fact” it’s the republicans’ fault.
“There is no evidence...”
It helps if you actually look for some.
LIES!!!
BLOCK the from entering our country! NO asylum! NO court dates!
Let humanitarian assistance groups help those who need it on the MEXICAN side of the border! Then send them ALL back to Honduras!!!!
Debunking the media’s myths:
***”The reason that the caravans have been organized are to help protect Central American refugees and migrants as they make the perilous journey through Mexico and to highlight their petitions for asylum,” said Elizabeth Oglesby, a professor at the University of Arizona’s Center for Latin American Studies.***
Fact: If the migrants are looking for asylum, there are neighboring countries that are much closer and safer who would take their asylum requests. Costa Rica is less than 500 miles away, and it’s very safe to go there. The trek to the United States is over 2300 miles.
Media myths, also known as LIES, debunked!
Gee if only NBC News were this interested in going after the fake Russia collusion BS..oh yeah almost forgot, doesn’t fit their agenda. Of course Soros is paying for it, you can see people ON VIDEO being paid money to get on the damn caravan
Yeah but only America gives you welfare, food stamps, free health care, and free housing when you step foot in this country..and all the Dems ask in return is their vote
Democrat surrogates.
You say potato, I say potato (you know what I mean)
It’s all about deniability. Which is automatically provided by the arse kissing press.
the "spontaneous" mob would have to walk 20 miles a day for a hundred consecutive days... to get here... yet I guarantee they will all miraculously appear at our border right at midterm election week. #FakeInvasion

“Dismissed” might be a better term for this article, than “Debunked”.
“Myth” isn’t really accurate either. How about “Unflattering Aspects”?
Nothing
But
Crap!
It’s much closer to 2300 miles to the U.S. from Tegucigalpa. It is difficult for any but the most seasoned hiker to keep up a pace that averages 20 miles/ day every day for weeks on end. The nutritional requirements for a journey of this length, makes this even more difficult.
I’m sure all five “myths” will turn out to be 100% truth and NBC will NOT retract their article.
Where is the barf alert? Why are they leaving thier country? No one seems to answer that.
This comes from NBC and is therefore distorted at minimum, and likely 100% FAKE NEWS in the worst case.....which makes their myths 1-5 all suspect and irrelevant, imho.
If anything seems partially true, see MYTH #1-A.
Their reputation precedes them and diminishes everything they report.
looks like NBC has appointed itself the official propaganda organ of the invasion force ... apparently NBC’s anti-Americanism knows know bounds ...
#1 bring two things to mind:
Baby Milk Factory
Baghdad Bob
Repeat post.
This is laughable.
I’d believe an 8 year old telling me his hand isn’t in the cookie jar over these lies.
