Democratic Socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said on Friday at a campaign event that the United States’ blueprint for beating global warming needs to be the same as the blueprint the U.S. used for defeating Nazi Germany in the 1940s.
“So we talk about existential threats, the last time we had a really major existential threat to this country was around World War II,” Ocasio-Cortez said. “And so we’ve been here before and we have a blueprint of doing this before.”
“None of these things are new ideas,” Ocasio-Cortez continued. “What we had was an existential threat in the context of a war. We had a direct existential threat with another nation, this time it was Nazi Germany, and axis, who explicitly made the United States as an enemy, as an enemy.”
What she misses is this inconvenient truth – a year after President Trump pulled out of the Paris Climate Accord, the USA is leading the world in reducing CO2 emissions while many of the other nations are breaking their promises to reduce emissions.
And she thinks we haven't faced any "existential threat" since WWII???? What does she think the Cold War, USSR, and thousands of ICBMs ever represented?
Mental defects this severe should not be allowed near govt.
Not to mention all the cities in Japan, all of the vast destruction of the “Eastern Front” and everything else in WWII..... oh I guess she wasn’t thinking of all that when she said we should roll out the same “blueprint”.....

I mentioned her comment to my beloved this morning. He got this really puzzled look and asked, “She thinks she can attack Germany??” I admit, it made me laugh.

I think she wants to take off where Pres Obama left off. Thankfully, Pres Trump is moving that marker so far back it’ll be in the Pre-Pres Obama days.
They’re trying a female Obama and a white Obama. Like throwing stuff against the wall to see what will stick.

I’ve seen them in action on-line. They only know 2 things:
1) They love Barack Hussein Obama (who hates America)
2) They hate President Trump (who loves America)
Pretty much all of their opinions can be summed up those two ways. I hope the Independents and the Moderates can see what they’ve become. And vote against them.
We gotta give her a break, she’s a bartender.... ;^) I’ve liked many bartenders, but the problem with electing a bartender to Congress is that they may think the level of b.s. they are used to around the bar is suitable for national policy.
