Donald Trump said on Saturday the US will terminate a nuclear arms treaty with Russia.
The Guardian reported on Friday that Trumps third national security adviser, John Bolton, was pushing for a US withdrawal from the 1987 intermediate-range nuclear forces treaty (INF), which the US says Russia has been violating with the development of a new cruise missile.
Speaking to reporters in Nevada after a campaign rally on Saturday, Trump said: Russia has violated the agreement. Theyve been violating it for many years and I dont know why President Obama didnt negotiate or pull out.

If Bolton is for it I’m suspicious. I generally don’t trust that guy.
If Bolton is for it, thats a good thing. One of the few who sees a big picture
The piously politically correct blue state that bankrolls Putin
CA and CalPERS.
President Reagan built his "Nuclear Legacy" AND dismantled the Soviet Union by pointing out that American Industry could and would build the "Star Wars" ICBM defense system (a Defensive Weapons System) and it would work.
Alexandra Bell should get her history straight, or get herself elected President.
'This is some weird shhhhhh.'
.
Now get the F outta the UN!
.
Putin is obviously ordering him to do this!!!! (Random liberals)
And with that button, Hillary earned tens of millions of dollars with Uranium One.
Yes he did. I was about to resurrect that thread. Had forgotten, thanks for the reminder.
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again - Trump’s approach towards major adversaries like China and Russia is to play nice in public, but to kick them in the nuts under the table. And that’s the way to play it. Whereas under Democratic presidents, who alternate between good cop and bad cop personas in public, just for variety, our adversaries always end up wearing Democratic presidential lipstick under their drawers.
yep, basically all treaties with scum are dreams at best
yo,Dick, did ya bring the kush?
Interesting article, you should post it to FR (I searched, it apparently hasn’t been posted), there might be some interesting comments.
Hey puty, we should invade today, this beatc% wouldn’t know if there were our tanks in Washington, reset, reset..lol
It never ceases to amazing how many times Ive read he should have dealt with this on his first day.
Jeez-O-Pete!

Like he had a frickn crystal ball and everyone was on his side.
Good grief!
He’s grinning because DingleBarry was a weak-kneed pushover and she’s happy because Rosatom will be donating millions to the Clinton Foundation.
I was being sarcastic.
The poster made it sound like it was a criminal act to abide by the treaty once the Soviet Union collapsed.
Sometimes people here are so flippant in their remarks without thinking them through that it boggles me.
it’s been followed for THIRTY years so obviously YES it did still hold some water!!
Must have given some broad range "advice" to a lot of his Cabinet .... find things disadvantageous to America and give me some options to consider.
