In the Senate, do the Democrats have any chance at all?

Right now, the margin is 51-49. Heidi in North Dakota seems a lot cause, so flipping her makes it 52-48.

So then, at 52-48, will Democrats really hold all of the close Senate races, in Montana, Missouri, Indiana, and Florida, to keep it there? If they lose even 1, then it’s up to 53-47.

And then, where else can Democrats realistically flip a GOP seat? Marsha Blackburn seems to be doing well in Tennessee, and Cruz in Texas is holding off O’Roarke.

So we are at 53-47 heading to Arizona and Nevada, where Democrat wins seem increasingly unlikely.

Even if Democrats pulled out Arizona and Nevada, then we are back to 51-49 again.

Unless there’s something going on in some other states that nobody is talking about, it’s hard to see how Democrats can take the Senate. Remember too, they need 51 to take control, because a 50-50 tie goes to the Republicans.

What do they have to offer; anger, hate, racism, violence, perversion, mass murder of the unborn, communism.

Thanks but no thanks.

meanwhile Fox News is pushing their poll big-time that voters like almost nothing about the President’s agenda. but they love Obamacare and a path to citizenship!
what is going on? video on autoplay when I opened this, with that dem strategist who is always on Fox, reeling off the figs favourable to Dems!!!

17 Oct: Fox News: President Trump, health care drive midterm elections
Less than three weeks until Election Day, voters are thinking most about health care, the economy, and reining in President Trump — and Democratic candidates are benefitting.
“If the election were today, the House would most likely flip,” says Republican pollster Daron Shaw, who conducts the poll with Democrat Chris Anderson. “Republicans keep waiting for the national numbers to tighten, but they have been remarkably stable this campaign season.”

GOP positions out of favor. The only issue that draws clear support for the GOP candidate is border security, as those naming it as extremely important to their vote back the Republican by 23 points. Seventy percent of likely voters favor a pathway to citizenship for illegal immigrants currently working in the U.S. More like Obamacare (54 percent favorable) than the tax cut law (45 percent favorable) — plus health care (58 percent) is extremely important to more voters than taxes (44 percent) when it comes to their congressional vote...

Not only have they not closed the deal. The customer has, in many cases left the showroom.

Let me count the ways off the top of my head:
Manchin is gone
Nelson is gone
Heitkamp is gone
McCaskill is gone
Tester is gone
Stabenow is in a statistical tie and may be gone
Mendez may be in trouble and possibly gone
Warren may be in a closer race than she wanted (I can dream)
McSally is going to beat SINema like a drum
Cruz is putting the hurt on O’Rourke

There is another one or two I am forgetting but the deal is, in every case the 10 seats the Dems wanted to try and flip they are behind or tied. It is a better bet that they will get none of them than that they will win 5 of them. Other “Safe” seats like Mendez and Stabenow seem to be coming into play as evidenced by the DNC giving Mendez 3 million for last minute adverts. When has that ever happened before?

So, the question is, if the Republicans are going to win all these Senate seats, will those voters then vote for a Dem in the house? I can’t at this point see that.

I won’t put a number on it, but I am beginning to think the Dem may be in for a POLITICAL bloodbath. (Capitalized so I can’t be accused of advocating actual violence)

The Democrat party is in deep cofefe.

The local numbers were where the pollsters screwed up in 2016. They got the national numbers close to right, but they couldn’t see what was happening at the state and local levels.

Stop watching FOX is my advice. They trashed Trump at the end of campaign and they do it every single year. If they had any effect, Trump wouldn’t be President. Cut the cord. It’s easy and awesome.

So this guy is saying that the 4 toss up races will be a sweep for the dems at 52. Don't buy. The over under should be GOP 54.

I still have the over under for the house at 17 switches (going by NYSlimes polling), which will not put those fools in charge of the house. Furthermore, RCP is not looking hot for some blue wave as of late. Still less than 3 weeks out.
