The Donald Trump loyalist who famously said he'd take a bullet for the President is now willing to publicly fight his former boss.

Michael Cohen, the President's former lawyer, is prepared to campaign against Trump and Republicans in the midterm elections and the 2020 presidential race, a Democrat with knowledge told CNN. Marking the latest escalation in Cohen's growing animosity towards Trump, the source said he is open to doing a range of things to try to help the Democratic Party, including stumping for candidates, giving speeches and helping raise money.

So, legal minds of FR, how can he take any action while still under a witness cooperation agreement pending sentencing? How could any negative comments not be construed as being at the direction and on instruction of the DOJ in active cooperation with the DNC?

I’ll give the dems this, either trump has a knack for turning his associates against him or he’s really bad at picking who he hangs out with.

LOL!

Michael Cohen is fishing for a commutation from the next DEMOCRAT president!

I do feel sorry for him, though.

He became a comfortably affluent man by investing in New York City Taxi Cab Medallions.

He borrowed money and used the Medallions as collateral.

Then, along came Uber and Lyft, and his Medallions lost 90% of their value, he couldn't pay back his loans, and he went broke.

As far as I know, all the tax charges against Cohen came after the value of his Medallions collapsed.

Re: “How can he take any action while still under a witness cooperation agreement pending sentencing?”

According to Wikipedia, Cohen's plea does not include any agreement to cooperate with prosecutors.

Wikipedia links to a CNBC article as the source.

I knew Michael Cohen was NOT to be TRUSTED when I heard he was a Democrat!!!

I wonder why he turned on TRUMP? Could it be after the FEDS found his hidden TRUMP audio recordings, he knew TRUMP would never PARDON him after that stunt so he had to dig deeper into the hellhole that he is in now?

What is the open market value of a medallion today compared to, say, 2007?

2007 nyc medallion = $1 million
2008 nyc medallion = $160,000

I think the peak price was $1.3 million.

At one point, they were trading as low $100,000.

I’m not an expert.

It’s possible there is more than one kind of Medallion - like taxi spaces at the airport - so maybe there is a range of values I don’t know about.

The logical conclusion would have to be that his current behavior is part of the agreement...

the puppet clause in the agreement - the ‘allocution’ and ‘conduct’ to the satisfaction of the Government bit:

“nothing in this Agreement limits the right of the Government to seek denial of the Adjustment for acceptance of responsibility...regardless of any stipulation set forth above if the Defendant fails clearly to demonstrate acceptance of responsibility to the satisfaction of the Government through his allocution and subsequent conduct prior to the imposition of sentence.

I think the Dems need to recruit even more creepy lawyers. It’s working so well for them.
