Attorney General Jeff Sessions unleashed a blistering assault on federal judges Monday, saying anti-Trump bias has led some to abandon their role as legal referees and become political actors erecting roadblocks to the presidents policies.
In unusually stark language, Mr. Sessions suggested judges could soon face calls for their replacement if they dont cool it.
He blasted one judge who called the presidents policy toward illegal immigrants heartless, and said another judge put the inner workings of a Cabinet secretarys mind on trial to pave a path to block the government from asking about citizenship on the 2020 census.
Once we go down this road in American government, there is no turning back, Mr. Sessions said in a speech to the conservative Heritage Foundation. We are seeing it in case after case. When a hot-button policy issue ends up in litigation, judges are starting to believe their role is to examine the entire process that led to the policy decision to redo the entire political debate in their courtrooms.

These judges and their college mates in law are showing their education into the Social Warrior/Social Justice world...they just don't know any better...following law is an enigma to both judges and lawyers of their era.
Jeff Sessions
‘rips’
WUT ? !
I tried to think the best of Sessions. But that’s ...
PATHETIC!
“He was all bluster and threats of prosecution when the mayor of Oakland tipped off illegals that an ICE raid was on the way (remember that?). Nothing came of it.” — Sa-teef
No, GW took heat for replacing DOJ attorneys. He had every right to do so, and even that ticked off the dems.
I hope Jeff Sessions comes out in support of re-shuffling Federal Courts [as suggested in Mark Levin’s ‘Men in Black’] to narrow some district jurisdiction to a single parking spot etc.
That is constitutional.
And Sessions could support the Liberty Amendments.
But until he gets on board with Mark Levin it’s just “all bark and no bite”.
Ping for credibility check in 3 weeks
We shall see in three weeks.

> Sessions could be the quiet wolf with teeth who will tear the throats out of liberals in the judiciary
Only if he actually does something and doesnt just talk.

Yeah, how’d that tongue bath, I mean ‘leashing’ go vs. CA mayor that was colluding/obstructing/harboring/etc. criminal illegal aliens?
Did he EVER get to the bottom whom that leaker (way back @ the beginning of the admin) was? Trial?
We could only be so lucky. One of my dogs yips while still asleep.
Bush fired 8 federal attorneys because of their activism and got reamed by the libs in the press. Bill Clinton fired over 60 and it was no big deal.... Go figure...
Seems like I remember W. Bushs AG firing 60 or so federal judges at one time.

After the election. We know how the left would spin it if it was done now.

It’s probably not too hard to figure. The ones Clinton fired were probably closer to Constitutional Constructionists, which is to say they probably opposed Left-wing judicial activism.
The AG cant fire a federal judge. They have to be removed via impeachment.
On December 7, 2006, the George W. Bush administration’s Department of Justice ordered the unprecedented midterm dismissal of seven United States Attorneys. Congressional investigations focused on whether the Department of Justice and the White House were using the U.S. Attorney positions for political advantage.
Allegations were that some of the attorneys were targeted for dismissal to impede investigations of Republican politicians or that some were targeted for their failure to initiate investigations that would damage Democratic politicians or hamper Democratic-leaning voters.
The U.S. attorneys were replaced with interim appointees, under provisions in the 2005 USA PATRIOT Act reauthorization.
A subsequent report by the Justice Department Inspector General in October 2008 found that the process used to fire the first seven attorneys and two others dismissed around the same time was “arbitrary”, “fundamentally flawed”, and “raised doubts about the integrity of Department prosecution decisions”.
In July 2010, the Department of Justice prosecutors closed the two-year investigation without filing charges after determining that the firing was inappropriately political, but not criminal, saying “Evidence did not demonstrate that any prosecutable criminal offense was committed with regard to the removal of David Iglesias. The investigative team also determined that the evidence did not warrant expanding the scope of the investigation beyond the removal of Iglesias.”
I’m such as ass...I read this as “feral judges” at first. Seems accurate, so I scanned on until I realized I needed more covfefe to function.
Sessions knows there is still a good ways to go before the end of Trump’s term. How is he gonna protect his felonious rat dem buddies from being indicted unless Trump keeps him in there as AG for two more years?
You gotta give him props for tryin
Sessions will continue on his path for three more weeks. Next big event in his life will be to clean out his desk when he’s fired.
That’s nice and all, but Jeffy has no power to remove a Federal judge from office.
Benedict Sessions.
Now everyone is beginning to get the big picture as to why the nomination of Justice Kavanaugh was some important, and why the Left went off the rails trying to stop it.
