Attorney General Jeff Sessions unleashed a blistering assault on federal judges Monday, saying anti-Trump bias has led some to abandon their role as legal referees and become political actors erecting roadblocks to the presidents policies.
In unusually stark language, Mr. Sessions suggested judges could soon face calls for their replacement if they dont cool it.
He blasted one judge who called the presidents policy toward illegal immigrants heartless, and said another judge put the inner workings of a Cabinet secretarys mind on trial to pave a path to block the government from asking about citizenship on the 2020 census.
Once we go down this road in American government, there is no turning back, Mr. Sessions said in a speech to the conservative Heritage Foundation. We are seeing it in case after case. When a hot-button policy issue ends up in litigation, judges are starting to believe their role is to examine the entire process that led to the policy decision to redo the entire political debate in their courtrooms.

PING
It appears Sessions just woke up from another long nap and is barking a little before he lays down again.
He yelled at a judge in Hawaii. All is forgiven.
we can hope
> Sessions could be the quiet wolf with teeth who will tear the throats out of liberals in the judiciary
Only if he actually does something and doesn’t just talk.
“It appears Sessions just woke up from another long nap and is barking a little before he lays down again.”
That’s cuz he knows his ass is going to be gone in 3 weeks.
From the washington times...I found this rich coming from that rat bastard that picked RR as his DAG and implemented the Mueller coup:
“He[Sessions] added that unfair intervention from judges has left the administration in legal tangles, forcing the president to fight senseless and distracting cases.”
nice speech but Sessions is barking at the wrong tree.
“those described by Article III of the U.S. Constitution....include all U.S. Supreme Court justices, Appeals Court justices, international trade judges and district court justices. Article III judges can only be removed through impeachment by the United States Congress. This has only ever happened a few times, and in practice they are essentially immune to being fired or having their pay cut.
Federal district court judges can remove federal magistrate court judges for misconduct. Federal bankruptcy court judges can be fired through a circuit judicial council.”

He would move soon enough if the pain got to the right level.
Only if he actually does something and doesnt just talk."

Exactly.
He was all bluster and threats of prosecution when the mayor of Oakland tipped off illegals that an ICE raid was on the way (remember that?). Nothing came of it.
Action is what we need, not empty talk/speeches. Our President acts on his words. I might reconsider my opinion of sleepy Jeff is anything actually comes of his words.
I'm not holding my breath.
If you wring a chicken’s neck, its head comes off.
I’d hate to see that happen to his hands.
Seems like I remember W. Bush’s AG firing 60 or so federal judges at one time.
Is that something Sessions can also do or is my memory fuzzy on the subject?
It appears Sessions just woke up from another long nap and is barking a little before he lays down again.
He is more like my dog that growls while asleep without waking up. Once again a republican (at least in name) issues a stern warning when swift and positive action is needed. Sessions threat does not scare these activist judges one bit. Until gutless Sessions removes a few of them from the bence they will continue to make lawless rulings based on their political beliefs rather than the constitution and established U.S. law.
Oh, somebody woke him up from his nap?
Sessions could be the quiet wolf with teeth who will tear the throats out of liberals in the judiciary and once he starts it could be a legal bloodbath.
And a troop of rabid Howler Monkeys could fly out of my butt this morning.

Exactly what I was thinking.
The old coot might be scared of Hillary, but I’ve always said that Jeff Sessions cares.
“Seems like I remember W. Bushs AG firing 60 or so federal judges at one time.
Is that something Sessions can also do or is my memory fuzzy on the subject?”
No. The AG can only fire Federal judges one at a time. I think the Constitution forbids multiple firings at once.
