RICHMOND Rep. Scott Taylor (R-Va.) leads Democratic challenger Elaine Luria 50 percent to 43 percent in Virginias 2nd Congressional District, according to a new poll released Monday by Christopher Newport Universitys Wason Center for Public Policy.
Taylor has a 7-point lead among likely voters, suggesting that voters are not troubled by his involvement in a scandal in which his campaign staffers submitted fraudulent signatures in a failed effort to get another candidate onto the ballot.
The poll had a margin of error of about 4 percentage points.

I will vote for Rep. Scott Taylor (R-Va.) any day over Democratic challenger Elaine Luria and I am a Virginia district 2 voter!
Red wave?
Red Tide is rising
I am holding my breath on this seat as there are some GOP that want to do a write in of Mary Jones(she primary him and lost) to get this, “teach” future GOP not to so RINOish..........it is a fight here that is for sure.........if GOP does that the Democrat wins the seat.............Hoping for strong GOP turn out that does not do a write in
Saw Taylor last Sunday at the Virginia Beach oceanfront. The event was a charity walk. I was a mere 10 feet away, but , alas, I was working the after party for the charity walk. I was so tempted to ask Taylor if he was still a Never Trumper. Ill hold my nose and vote for him as the Left Wing Democrat Witch is slightly worse than Never Trumper Taylor.
Yuck! I hit the link without thinking . . . the Washington Post! What made me aware was that I saw the next article was headlined something like Gen. Robert E. Lee Was Not Very Good At His Job. LOL!
Still within the realm of DemonRAT vote fraud.

So am I, my neighborhood was “annexed” into Taylor’s district during the most recent redistricting in the Old Dominion. At times, he strays into GOP-E territory, but he’s a far better choice than Elaine Luria, the Democratic sock puppet who was recruited by Nancy Pelosi.
They picked Luria largely because she is a retired Navy officer, trying to match Taylor’s military record. Nice try, but no cigar. Taylor is a former Navy SEAL who was medically retired after being wounded in combat. Luria, as far as I can tell, did nothing exceptional during her 20 years in the Navy, but with the Democrats anti-military resume, they’re willing to take almost anyone who has pictures of themselves in a service dress uniform and a DD-214 with an honorable discharge.
With Taylor now holding a significant lead, it will be interesting to see if the Dims keep pouring money into the race. I’ll be watching the ad buys over the next three weeks in the Norfolk media market; currently, Luria is matching Taylor ad for ad, and may actually be airing more commercials than her opponent. If those begin to dip, we’ll know the Soros/Steyer money has been shifted elsewhere.
And for what it’s worth, the CNU poll tends to skew left (over-samples Democrats—what a surprise). So, Taylor’s lead may be closer to 9-10 points, versus seven. But no need for Republicans to get complacent; as someone else observed, it’s still within the Democrat margin of fraud.
At this point, its all about numbers in the House. Republicans have to keep it. I dont understand why all the fuss in the general. Much more attention should be paid to the primaries than what is happening now, and if Republicans worried about their primaries like they do the general election, wed be RINO free within a couple election cycles.
No time to be picky or petty, go to the polls and pull the lever for the (R), REGARDLESS of past history.
It sucks in some cases, but has to be done.
My GOP congressman (NY 27) was accused of insider trading. There’s significant evidence against that him I have seen, but the timing of the charges is also very suspicious. Our local leftist fish wrap also hates him, which always makes me suspicious as well
Anyway, I will nonetheless pull the lever for him. No way I will give a vote to a freshman Democrat who will be a spineless goon for Nancy Pelosi and the DNC.
This was not a district thought “at risk” for Rs.
