A story broke last week that an Arabic journalist named Jamal Khashoggi who was working for the Washington Post had disappeared and was presumed dead. The official story is that Khashoggi was last seen entering the Saudi consulate in Istanbul, Turkey, on the afternoon of October 2.
Immediately (and suspiciously) media stories that appeared to be coordinated appeared, pointing the finger of blame for Khashoggis disappearance at Saudi Arabia, in general, and at the countrys Crown Prince, Mohammad Bin Salman, in particular. It was alleged by anonymous sources for several days that Khashoggi had been abducted and then killed at the express order of Bin Salman, for being a troublesome journalist who was causing problems for the Saudi royal family with the stories he was pursuing. Detailed stories relating how the abduction/killing supposedly happened filled the news media.

We will see if this is the real story.
Trump haters and arms deal haters and Saudi haters.....
Let this sink in: Isikoff and Klaidmans source for their stories on Mohammad Bin Salmans state of mind and his various nefarious plots against journalists is a guy whos been investigated for terrorism ties, and on top of that has connections to an al-Qaeda affiliated terrorism financier who is currently in federal prison for participating in a plot to kill Saudi Arabias Crown Prince.
Anything associated with Isikoff and the Washington Post is instantly suspect. They are connected to some very bad people in America and lie like a rug. They sprinkle a bit of truth into their stories to make them believable, but they almost always have dark intentions.
Trump is playing this to perfection.
He DID say today that they have info that seems to indicate that the guy is dead.
“Isikoff and Klaidmans source for their stories”
The same Michael Isikoff involved in peddling the Trump Dossier, to get a FISA warrant on the Trump Campaign.
This is starting to reek of an Intelligence Agency smear operation - probably the Turks, maybe with Qatar.
Khashoggi may be laughing it up in the Turkish witness protection program, while they run a story designed to make Trump look bad right before the election, and drive a wedge in the US/Saudi alliance.
Trump KNOWS all this...but has to pay lip service to the narrative until after the election. The HuffPost and NBC have already showed their hands in the first few days...they would say Trump is “complicit in the murder of a journalist” if he remained silent.
BTTT
Like Michael tells Kay in Godfather 2 “It’s between the brothers”. Which means it’s none of our business.
Let these people settle their disputes between each other in whatever manner they do & not make World War 3 out of it.
While if the Saudis have Khashoggi in their custody in Riyadh, they won’t have to hurry his torture.
spooky British journo who knows Khashoggi well:
11 Oct: US Spectator: What the media arent telling you about Jamal Khashoggi
The dissidents fate says a lot about Saudi Arabia and the rise of the mobster state
by John R. Bradley
As someone who spent three decades working closely with intelligence services in the Arab world and the West, the Saudi dissident and Washington Post columnist Jamal Khashoggi knew he was taking a huge risk in entering the Saudi consulate in Istanbul last week to try to obtain a document certifying he had divorced his ex-wife...
He had become the darling of western commentators on the Middle East. With almost two million Twitter followers, he was the most famous political pundit in the Arab world and a regular guest on the major TV news networks in Britain and the United States...
In the 1970s he joined the Muslim Brotherhood, which exists to rid the Islamic world of western influence. He was a political Islamist until the end, recently praising the Muslim Brotherhood in the Washington Post. He championed the moderate Islamist opposition in Syria, whose crimes against humanity are a matter of record. Khashoggi frequently sugarcoated his Islamist beliefs with constant references to freedom and democracy. But he never hid that he was in favour of a Muslim Brotherhood arc throughout the Middle East. His recurring plea to bin Salman in his columns was to embrace not western-style democracy, but the rise of political Islam which the Arab Spring had inadvertently given rise to. For Khashoggi, secularism was the enemy.
He had been a journalist in the 1980s and 1990s, but then became more of a player than a spectator...
The Saudis, too, may have worried that Khashoggi had become a US asset...
...Khashoggi had earlier this year established a new political party in the US called Democracy for the Arab World Now, which would support Islamist gains in democratic elections throughout the region. Bin Salmans nightmare of a Khashoggi-led Islamist political opposition was about to become a reality...

General rule of thumb. If the media’s telling you something’s important then you know it isn’t. If the media is pointing somewhere and demanding ‘justice’, look the other way.
Is he relatd to John Kerry’s buddy the arms-dealing Kashoggi?
"They hit him with 5 shots and he's still alive!"
Klaidman was also the reporter to whom Dan Seikaly leaked in the Amerithrax investigation trying to frame Steven Hatfill.
