GOP going on offense in key Senate races the party believes will flip red

Red Wave: Despite reports and questionable polling that indicates the House may go back to the Democrats — we don’t believe them, mind you — Republican leaders see opportunities to pick up Senate seats and are now going on the offense in key races the party believes it can win.

Fox News reports that with less than one month before the November midterms, several Senate races are trending away from Democrats and toward the GOP, reinvigorating the party and convincing Republican leaders they can expand their slim majority in the upper chamber.

Michigan appears to be a state that can be flipped. The “venerable” Debbie Stabenow appears to be vulnerable now, thanks largely to the Kavanaugh blunder by the Social Democrats. John James closed an 18 point lead to 9 points in the latest poll. He’s got momentum and Don jr and Kid Rock will be campaigning for him this weekend. PDJT will be in Pontiac Oct. 17. If we could dethrone Hillary’s buddy in the Senate and return the seat to the Republicans (it was formerly held by Republican Spence Abraham) it would be the greatest election evah! Only a slight exaggeration.

I subscribe to campaign e-mails from both the Governor (Tommie the Commie Wolf) and the Village Idiot (Sen. Bob Casey, Jr.). Both claim the races are tightening and they need money NOW!

Both are long shots but I think disposing of the seat warming do nothing Village Idiot is actually possible since the generation who thinks they are voting for his Daddy is dying off.

Two to add to that... Montana is still “gettable,” and I’m not sure Joe Manchin couldn’t be talked into flipping to R.

She is within striking distance, Trump is going back there again. Don’t give up hope, you know how polls can be sauced up.

We need only flip 3-4, to Collins/Murkowski/Romney proof the senate.
If the Republicans came out of the election with half of the senate seats up for election this November, that would amount to about 17 seats - counting the 8 they now hold. That would give the Republican senate caucus about 62, enough for cloture on a bad day.

If the Republicans won as many seats in this election as they averaged in the past two Senate elections, that would put them in “veto proof” territory. Enough to convict someone of impeachment if necessary. You could reset the whole Supreme Court that way. Of course, that would assume no RINO senators . . .

I’d be surprised if Rick Scott didn’t beat Bill Nelson.

Also McCaskill is falling further behind in Missouri.

Heitkamp is toast in North Dakota.

The Republicans look like they’ll hold onto seats in Tennessee and Arizona. Heller continues to hang onto a 2 point lead in Nevada. That’s +3 for the Republicans with tight races in Indiana and Montana to go.

Wisconsin and New Jersey are within striking distance as well.

I think the Republicans end up +4 and I consider that to be a conservative estimate. If things go really well, +6 is possible but not likely.

“going on offense”? Then what the hell have they been doing for the past several months, curled up in a fetal position waiting for good news?

I think it’s highly likely that the GOP will pick up six or seven seats in the Senate and maybe as many as 11. Even John James, who has a very long row to hoe, has closed the gap on Stabenow. With some earlier, more extensive support I think he would’ve been a shoe-in. It takes a lot of money to cover Michigan.

It even appears that Mitch McConnell is starting to enjoy winning and has grown a spine an at least one testicle. After the Kavanaugh confirmation, he was heard to utter, “This winning shit is pretty cool!”

In the old days, any time that Jesse Helms was up for re-election, the media would go banana crazy inflating his opponent and turning him into a celebrity. To the media, Cruz plays the same role as Helms.

I’ll be on a hunting trip on Nov. 6th, so I already turned in my absentee ballot. Needless to say, I didn’t check the bubble for “Where in the World is” Casey or Tommy the Commie, but it’s a long way to go. I spent my campaign contributions in Michigan and Arizona.

I REALLY like John James and I think if we can get him elected he’ll be an honest-to-God superstar.

Black Conservative in MI should be slam dunk over the Stabenow.

Where is that race in the polls?

I would love the optics of Trump on stage with James. Counter to all the FAKE racist charges thrown at him.

Right now, according to RCP, Stabenow is up by 9.

>>The necessity of changing from defensive to offensive tactics in an election is demonstrative of what is wrong with the GOP. In an election you should always be on offense. Further you should always campaign like you’re 10 points down. Take nothing for granted, never be complacent.<<

Thanks to our great President the Pukes are FINALLY learning how to play hardball and beat the sh*t out of the Rats by using their own tactics against them. Thank you President Trump!

>>But she just can’t close the deal. She’s behind by about 5-9 points depending on what poll you believe.<<

Our President needs to do a rally for her, and he just might have that on his schedule.
