Two of California's best-known Democrats are slipping in the polls as the calendar advances closer to Election Day.
In fact, both Lt. Gov. Gavin Newsom and U.S. Sen. Dianne Feinstein have only single-digit leads over their opponents, the results show.
In the race for governor, a Probolsky Research poll, conducted between Aug. 29-Sept. 2, shows Newsom leading Republican businessman John Cox by a mere 5 points, with 17 percent of respondents undecided, the San Francisco Chronicle reported.
Feinstein faces similar problems, with the poll showing her with only an 8-point advantage over progressive challenger Kevin de León. A quarter of the respondents told the pollsters they remain undecided...

Time for a Trump rally in California
Side effect: the execrable deLeon has no political office or base and is forced into the background.
I agree -- DiFi is the conservative voter's choice.
All thanks to the CA "Jungle" primary -- does that term sound more than just a little racist to you too?
Yes! Right in front of Feinswine’s house.
The real reason to vote DiFi is because she is not as much poison as her opponent.
Vote her out. Make her failure complete. I wouldn't trust even a 55-45 Senate to try to censure her. And she could use all kinds of tricks, mostly dirty ones, to string it out for months anyway.
I wonder if they're polling any Republicans for that CA Senate race. What if they're not? The funniest thing in the world would be for a lot of Republicans and independents to vote for the other guy and she loses in a landslide.
Unfortunately, the Bay Area and SoCal coast (LA to San Diego) have so much population (many of them not even citizens) that they drown those conservatives out.
It's the same thing in Connecticut. My pocket in Fairfield County is conservative but our votes are wiped out by the urban centers of Bridgeport and Danbury as well as the limousine liberal towns of Greenwich, Stamford, etc.
I try not to judge entire states on their highly populated urban/yuppie areas.
As a protest vote I was planning on voting for DeLeon, but the odds are that Feinswein is either going to die of old age in the next 6 years or get booted out of the Senate because of her criminal shenanigans in the Kavenaugh debacle. In that case Governor Cox (I hope I can say that soon) can appoint her replacement.
if Cox is only down by five points in the polls points in the polls, then hes probably ahead by 10.
People laughed at me when I said that Trump was going to win the presidency. The same people are laughing at me now when I predict that Cox is going to win.
Many people here originally from the Midwest, including me (Michigan). Been here since age 5.
Would hate to have to leave this beautiful state, but Newsom will most likely be the straw that broke the camel's back. I shudder to think...
Cali —> sadly there is too much voter fraud
Not totally shocked by this. Despite the overwhelming Dem advantage in the state, Gavvy is beatable. Hes well-spoken, but theres no there there. Hes an airhead with a Patrick Bateman/American Psycho vibe going on that turns off a lot of folks.

I have seen some of Gavin N’s ads on TV...He talks about creating more programs to help people.
He is a younger version of Bernie Sanders...
He will probably run ads about President Trump very soon...
Telling people to vote for him because he hates the President...
I am prepared for 8 years of Gavin Newsom...I cannot leave CA yet...He still has a good chance of winning...
I don’t know if Prop 6 will pass or not...Prop 6 will repeal the gas tax hike...
Did you ping me to this a few days ago? Or did I find it another way?
