Good evening, Mooch...did you get your boots?

Rain all day here, but snow on the tops of the mountains. High winds, which I hate.

Howdy, LUV.

We got a drizzle late this afternoon from one of Michael’s outer bands. It’s biggest effect on us is it’s held back the cold front trying to come through.

It’s been terrible for the people in the path of the storm. I hope it wasn’t too bad at Ft. Walton. I haven’t heard anything from my step-mother yet.
Hubby heard from friends in southern GA earlier and they were getting hammered and that was before the center of the storm had reached them. Hope they fared well.

We’re still waiting to enjoy some of that cool weather you’re enjoying. MAYBE the front will slip through tonight.

Good evening, mountainlion. Been raining here, but I can see a dusting on the tops of the mountains. No ventures into the 30s yet. And it’s really windy...

Stay warm!!

LOL! As early as you wake up for work, it’s no surprise your eyelids are heavy. Another early wake-up tomorrow too. UGH!

Not much going on here today. I stayed close to the tv and computer to keep an eye on what’s going on in the south since we have family and friends in the hurricane’s path. I’ll hit the grocery store tomorrow since I didn’t go today.

Gee, if you wanted warm weather, I’d have been happy to send ours up there to ya. LOL! We’re tired of it and looking forward to cooler temps.

Good evening, Janey…((HUGS))...just hangin’ sounds lovely. Enjoy your time at home. Do you expect a delay in getting any flights to the south?

Good evening, radu...rain and high winds here. And now a hint of white stuff on the mountain tops.

You gonna get anything from Michael?

I emailed friends in Fort Walton Beach...he said “We had no damage here. My son lost his store on 23rd St Panama City. Photos looked like total lost. He has no contact with one employee.” He is 7 miles inland.

Blowing hard now. Trying to take down a birdfeeder. The hanging handle is making lots of noise...trying to get off the hook.

I hope the cold front does manage to sneak into your area. I know you’re very tired of the heat, as I was!

I think the area between Panama City and Mexico beach were the worst hit and I’ve seen some awful pictures of the destruction there. It’s a wonder that more deaths didn’t happen!

Howdy, Kathy! (((hugs)))

Thank you. It tugs at the heartstrings, huh. Being away from family has to be the hardest part of serving. Yet, they volunteer to do it.

Hey there, Kathy.

It sounds like you have a bit of “yeeha” going on up there. At least it’s rain and not a blizzard. You’ll have that to contend with soon enough.
I hope you managed to get the bird feeder down. That kind of banging can be irritating.

Nothing from Michael for us other than a brief sprinkle earlier this evening. The weird thing is it was windy yesterday and has been calm today. It might be breezy again on the backside of the cold front IF it ever gets to move through.

I’m glad to hear Ft. Walton wasn’t hit badly. I haven’t heard from my step-mother, who stayed at her house, and was a bit concerned. Maybe I’ll hear from her tomorrow.

Sorry to hear about your friend’s son’s store. Panama City was hammered today and looks like a war zone. :-(

The front is trying hard to get here. The bad thing is that we won’t get much, if any, rain out of it and we could use it. Michael sucked all the moisture out of it.
At least the clouds kept the temperature down a bit today.

Yes, Panama City and Mexico Beach were hit HARD. Pix and videos have been heart-wrenching.

Maybe you’ll get some rain soon. As long as it’s not hot, that’s a plus for sure. We’ve had enough of that to last a good long time, huh!

I hope you got a bite to eat, then went to bed. Its been a looooong three days for you. But a movie to unwind a bit more would be nice too.

I’ve gotten caught up in a movie myself. LOL

It was a little cooler today only because it was cloudy. STILL waiting for the front to move through. It’s close, at least.
We’ll have highs in the 60s for the next week. Nights are going to be right nippy. brrrrr
