Nikki Haley on Tuesday abruptly resigned as US ambassador to the United Nations, Axios reports. The reasons for her departure are unclear and this was not expected. Haley reportedly had a discussion about her resignation with President Donald Trump during a visit to the White House last week. The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Business Insider.

She mentioned her family - but I was posting while she was speaking. Just happened.
Sounds like she wants to re-group. Or maybe at age 46 she’s ready to go to work in the private sector and bank some serious money. Either way I wish her well and thank her for what she’s done. No reason to suspect her replacement will be any less pro-America and supportive of the Trump MAGA agenda.

Fine by me. Ever since she rolled over to Leftist activists about the Confederate flag which had already been removed from the capital dome in Columbia via a compromise 10 years earlier.....which everybody agreed to and said that would be fine and they wouldn’t come back pushing for more a few years later - she showed herself to be a spineless politician rather than a person of conviction. I will never vote for her. Her leaving the Trump administration is a good thing as far as I’m concerned.
No she just put in 2 years in the Trump administration, that is equal to 8 years of any other administration. She had 8 had years as governor followed by UN Ambassador, that’s more than most do in a lifetime

She has a husband and two children.
It’s the default statement from every politician who resigns-—”I wanna spend more time with my family.”
Nikki Haley had given notice six months ago that she would like to step away at the end of 2 years at mid term period.
She has been a tireless advocate for President Trumps policies and a formative advisor on those policies. She will be sorely missed.
It would not surprise me at all to see Ambassador Haley run for the presidency in 2020.
She discussed resigning, with President Trump, six months ago. Obviously, he can keep secrets!
