Marsha Blackburn surges to 8-point lead over Phil Bredesen in new CBS poll

Republican Marsha Blackburn has surged to an 8-point lead over Democrat Phil Bredesen in a new CBS poll of Tennessee's U.S Senate race — a bounce that coincides with the nation's furious debate over the confirmation of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh.

The poll, released Sunday, found Blackburn, a conservative Williamson County congressman, with support from 50 percent of registered voters in Tennessee, compared to 42 percent for Bredesen, a former two-term Tennessee governor.

It comes as the pollster says this race and others where Democrats are seeking to win in traditionally Republican states have "nationalized." The collection of polls in Tennessee, Arizona and Texas found Democrats with "at best mixed results."

Blackburn is seeking to replace the retiring U.S. Sen. Bob Corker in a closely contested campaign, and her lead is the largest any public poll has placed her at since the Aug. 2 primary.

She did some thing on TV with Def Leopard but mostly what she did was sway on the stage in a tight black mini dress, looking nothing but whoreish.

Had the same thought. Polling news is all over the place. One minute you hear how the dems enthusiasm advantage has disappeared and the generic ballot has tightened....the next minute the articles appear about the ‘building blue wave’.

Yeah. apparently Soros, Steyer, and Buffet can't agree on the right strategy.

Even democrats can see what pieces of crap their so-called ‘leaders’ were to Kavanaugh.

Please, let conservatives keep up the fight through election day.

Who the heck cares how Taylor Swift is voting? Why isn’t the msm putting my opinion on their headlines? One person, one vote. Celebs don’t get more than little ol’ me.

“I always expected that TN would elect Blackburn, but can we translate that to PA, OH, WI, MI, FL, MN, AZ, IN, WV, etc?”

Maybe but we’re translating it in New Jersey. Looking to give a farewell to the Soprano State King of Corruption Bob Menendez and replace him with Marine Bob Hugin.

Go Joisey!

"Hillary has some fireworks they can use."

And an unused victory speech. Hillary could also give her concession speech to Bresden, it's not been used either...

“Interesting that we are seeing Senate race after Senate race move the Republicans way but there are still scores of blue wave articles related to the House races.”

i suspect it may be that the fake stream media can still easily lie about the House because there’s probably not a lot of credible non-internal polls for the House races so the media can print whatever lies they like ... there are just too many swing-district House races for the media to pay to poll compared to polling for a couple of hand-fulls of Senate races ...

I am with you. I posted something like your response on another thread—and fellow Freepers lectured me about why the House and Senate were different. They were factually on target, but they failed to explain why the trends are reportedly going in opposite directions. If the Senate races are all trending GOP, why should the House races trend in the other direction?
