Taylor Swift has broken her long-held public political silence in an Instagram post encouraging her followers to vote in the November midterm elections and slamming Republican Tennessee representative Marsha Blackburn.
In the past Ive been reluctant to publicly voice my political opinions, but due to several events in my life and in the world in the past two years, I feel very differently about that now, Swift began the post, which was accompanied by a moody, black-and-white photo of the superstar.
I always have and always will cast my vote based on which candidate will protect and fight for the human rights I believe we all deserve in this country, she wrote. I believe in the fight for LGBTQ rights, and that any form of discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender is WRONG. I believe that the systemic racism we still see in this country towards people of color is terrifying, sickening and prevalent.
I cannot vote for someone who will not be willing to fight for dignity for ALL Americans, no matter their skin color, gender or who they love, the post continues.

She should shut up and sing.

Nashville’s newest Dixie Chicken.
TSwift is as gay as the day is long.
I’m sure she never heard the end of it because of the photoshops of her in SS uniforms and Hitler quotes attributed to her.
She hasn’t been the same since Kanye handed her her ass on a silver platter..I bet this endorsement will do the same for Democrats like LeBron’s Hillary endorsement did for her in Ohio in 2016, oh wait LOL
Racism? Again? From a WHITE LIBERAL MINORITY IN L.A.?
Why do these white lib democraps always push this racism crap when in L.A. accdg to the last census, WHITES ARE THE MINORITY.
I have never seen whites hang out with latinos here. Ever. They go in groups of white people. That’s how it is here sheeshh.
You’re a crusader for human rights, are ya? Does that include the human rights of pre-born children? No? I didn’t think so. You’re just another haughty, vain, posing bullcrap artist. And a carpetbagger, besides.
Will be interesting to see concert and album sales going forward.
Shut Up And Sing.
Someone somewhere probably enjoys it.
Why do entertainers feel a need to tell us all the minutia of their lives?
Taken at a meet-and-greet event at Denver's Pepsi Center in June 2013, the photo published by TMZ shows David Mueller's right arm extended behind Swift. While his hand is not visible, it appears level with her rear.
Mueller initially sued Swift for slander and accused her of getting him fired from his job at Colorado country music station 98.5 KYGO, where he had worked since 2013.

Now youve done it. An unforced error. Why alienate _any_ of your fans with a political endorsement?
Owwwch! That’s sure to leave a mark.
Taylor notso Swift...
I dont have any not guilty cards but I understand the milieu she is in and how that affects her. Giving her a pass for now. not liberal at 20, not conservative at 40, and all.
And she is mostly arguing for classic liberal points, no leftist insanity.
If she had come out as a Conservative, or a Republican, her career as an A-lister would have been over, immediately.
Many of her staffers would have quit, and much of her youthful fan base would have dropped her like a hot potato. She would have been reviled and excoriated on every late-night show, and on countless alternative-media websites.
Her concert venues would be picketed, with property destruction riots accompanying every show from now on.
Her glamour sponsors (apparel, cosmetics, accessories) would have dropped her.
Her European tour schedule would have collapsed.
This is a little disappointing, but when you look at the realities of the entertainment industry, it is completely predictable, and inevitable.
as a high schooler we used to say “ I wouldn’t f**k her with your d*ck.
Taylor Not-So-Swift.
