Not very smart on DiFi's part not to try to put some distance between the two. This looks more and more like a Deep State operation.

It seems that Ford just assumed Leland would sign on to support the fake “narrative” and did not bother even to use a 3rd party friend such as Monica McLean to check out in advance what Leland would be willing to say. We are very very lucky for this bit of carelessness in the plotting.
Also, I don’t think Ford/McLean ever thought through the possibilities of public spotlight etc. I suspect they thought (and DiFi staff probably told them) that a secretive accusation would be enough to get the nomination withdrawn. That would have worked with most previous Republican presidents, but fortunately not with POTUS Trump!!

When there are five witnesses named by the accuser, and all state the event never happened. It doidn’t happen. The accuser is lying..

Simple question: Is the “Senate Judiciary Committee Tracking Ford Communications with Retired FBI Agent McLean” or not.
The headline says it is. The article has nothing about it that I can find.
Your response is nice but I disagree that the “Grassley letter today hints at all this”. In fact I think the letter pretty much disproves the headline because it lists three different communications they really are tracking (Senators, alleged Witnesses and other alleged victims) but does not mention McLean at all.
Now we need a full FBI investigation!

Agreed. It’s not. I think this is clickbait. It WOULD be “HUGE” if they were tracking communications with McClean and they definitely SHOULD do so. But unfortunately it seems that they aren’t.
The thing is, I don’t want to get my hopes up that any of the Ford team will be held accountable.
Kavanaugh didn’t have a lawyer when faced with these accusations. He spoke for himself and throughout the proceedings never turned to get advice from a high powered attorney. Ford, the accuser, had at least 2 very high powered attorneys advising her on every question.
When is the last time a supposed victim had two lawyers sitting next to them while testifying about the crime they were accusing a defendant of? Ever seen that on Perry Mason? No. Never seen it ever.
The party that looked “guilty” at the Senate hraring was Ford. The one that “needed” an attorney was the one who planned on committing perjury. That was the one who had two high powered lawyers and a former FBI lawyer in her corner.
I would expect some of it is.
Grassley is not someone to mess with. He has clearly tried to avoid negative response to how he ran the Confirmation hearings and got nothing but crap and nonsense from the ComDems.
He has right to be angry. But he will not act foolishly.
