“Kavanaugh won but the mob is not going crazy this is a bad sign”

So “the mob” has specific concrete knowledge that no one else has?

That is about the silliest comment I’ve seen on this forum in a long time.

Flake and Collins vote yes, Manchin votes no, Pense breaks the tie and we have a new SCJ. Murkowksi, no doubt they have something on her. If I were Trump, put the wheels in motion to get her investigated. I want her corrupt azz disgraced.

I come from Air Force family, but I myself have not served. I am also likely 2 or 3 generations younger than you and still building a record albeit not in the military. The fact that you were, and would say such a thing is very disheartening. Almost as if you feel your service was for naught. And the entire Cold War at that. What a shame. You need to spend more time in Eastern Europe in countries neighboring Russia. There you will find people who respect your service most.

If we’re having this much trouble getting someone who by all appearances is Kennedy 2.0 and a somewhat squishy “moderate” judge through, imagine what would have happened if POTUS nominated someone more to the right.

The Dems are using up ALL of their ammunition. This ain’t gonna work again. Maybe that’s been the plan all along - headfake on someone that Kennedy wanted as his replacement, let the guy get shot down, and now that Kennedy is gone and can no longer dictate the choice, put a REAL conservative justice in.

Feel really bad for the Kavanaugh family, but it could be that Brett is just a pawn in a much bigger game.

"Alaska kicked her out in the primary and with Bush League Republican help she got back in through a write-in campaign that would not have worked in any other state.

Thanks, somebody finally gets it. Even with the union and native sellout she needed the AK repubes to win her "write in" against the duly elected conservative republican candidate. Never will forget them stabbing me in the back. Been a registered independent ever since.

Well, she’s burned those bridges now. She’s jumping.

That line of thought is simply incorrect. There are four other GOP women in the Senate who voted for Kavanaugh:

Capito (West Virginia)
Ernst (Iowa)
Fischer (Nebraska)
Hyde-Smith (Mississippi)

Remember Manchin said he is only going to look at Kavanaugh from the age of 22 to present. Basically saying that the entire high school/college inquisition is not part of his decision. So only now could he run with the “temperament” smoke screen.

Flake and Collins both asked for this FBI ordeal and both have said nothing in there has brought any new light to the accusations. They both postured that they needed this as cover to vote “yes”. That should not change.

Flake is a Mormon. That alone should have him side as he exits to ensure that a conservative gets on this court for the sake of not just the country but his children.

Collins is from a more liberal state and as a woman could hide behind that from fear of the #MeToo crazies. I will bet Bernie Sanders is all over her.

Time for an extended “environmental” study in ANWAR. That will get that Democrat from Alaska’s attention.

Murkowski is apparently BFF with Feinswine. No surprise she is sticking it to the GOPe again.

Ted Stevens was supposed to be the GOP nominee for the Senate seat in AK, but the FBI raided his house one early morning before the primary. They found nothing, we found out after the election. Cow got defeated in GOP primary by Stevens and ran as independent.

I wish that Sarah Palin would go after Murkowski.

I think we would see a big landslide in her favor.

He’ll vote yes. People rarely change their first vote. Collins will vote yes and VP Pence will be on hand to break a possible tie. He will vote yes.

Hello, Justice Kavanaugh!

The longest flight of my life was a flight from California to Hawaii with Murkowski’s mother in law seated behind me. She droned on the entire 5 hours about how great Senator Murkowski was. It was not long after she had lost the primary and won the general as a write in. It was nauseating.

I have been around the globe 5 times in my life, starting with living in Tehran when I was a young teen.

Joking about Alaska is merely a catharsis. Been there a couple of times as has my dad, who travelled extensively in the tundra when the Trans-Alaska pipeline was being built.

You need to accept that this is the forum with which we should feel free to joke about this at length. Otherwise, FR will be considered nothing more than a bitch session that feeds into the more base desires of man to go destroy something.

“They” have nothing on her. Murkowski is a liberal and doormat McConnell gives her free range to roam as a “Maverick”. The Dims desperately want a GOP no vote so they can say “bipartisan opposition” to Kavanaugh.
