Yep, you are correct. Politico ran their stories by the D party for approval before publishing. Axios might not need to do that (pre-approved). The main reason for Politico is actually not to spread fake news and D propaganda although they do that a lot. The main purpose is for lecherous old farts like Allen to hire hot young eye candy. It’s the metoo era meaning he hires skanks too.
After watching the absolute scum-of-the-earth tactics employed by the democrats... (I personally have 100x more respect for a dung beetle than any democrat/leftist) Any Senator that votes with them, that supports that kind of lowest of the low tactics and ends-justifies-any-means thinking deserves to be voted out of office and ridiculed for the rest of his or her life.

It doesn’t matter how many you can count now. Force the vote and let individual Republicans who vote “NO” pay the price. Not holding a vote will suppress Republican voter turnout.
It’s tantamount to waving the white flag, just not even trying to confirm Kavanaugh, who voters feel a lot of sympathy towards. Force the Democrats to vote against Kavanaugh, and when the win, they will really LOSE.
If Collins and Murkowski vote him down, they deserve to lose bigly.

The handwringing here is incredible, just what a source like Axios is all in for.
Bringing it to a vote is a winner either way. Either Kavanaugh is approved and the country wins, or he is voted down, and it becomes an election issue, we gain seats in the senate, he is renominated, and the country wins both ways.
If you haven't noticed, there are solid indications Americans do not agree with this lynching. Leftist polls would normally suppress any results that favor the opposition, and to have them actually showing results disfavoring the Left is not good.
In case you are interested, a typical poll is voter enthusiasm as an indicator of engagement. Before the Kavanugh process, the Left led by 10 points. It is now down to two points, which is within the margin of error.
Another solid indicator is polls showing that Democrat Senators in Red States have had their leads narrowed dramatically or even lost.
Enough with the handwringing, here and in the Senate. Take the vote.

That was true before president Trump. The white house made it very clear they want a an up or down vote. They are not going to give anyone cover by pulling the vote.
