Charles Ludington, Lynne Brookes and Elizabeth Swisher attended Yale University from 1983 to 1987 with Supreme Court nominee Brett M. Kavanaugh.
We were college classmates and drinking buddies with Supreme Court nominee Brett M. Kavanaugh. In the past week, all three of us decided separately to respond to questions from the media regarding Bretts honesty, or lack thereof. In each of our cases, it was his public statements during a Fox News TV interview and his sworn testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee that prompted us to speak out.
We each asserted that Brett lied to the Senate by stating, under oath, that he never drank to the point of forgetting what he was doing. We said, unequivocally, that each of us, on numerous occasions, had seen Brett stumbling drunk to the point that it would be impossible for him to state with any degree of certainty that he remembered everything that he did when drunk.
Since coming forward, we each have received numerous angry messages accusing us of attempting to ruin a mans life because of his drunken antics as a college student. In fact, none of us condemned Brett for his frequent drunkenness. We drank too much in college as well. It is true that Brett acknowledged he sometimes drank too many beers. But he also stated that he never drank to the point of blacking out.
All of us went to Yale, whose motto is Lux et Veritas (Light and Truth). Brett also belonged to a Yale senior secret society called Truth and Courage. We believe that Brett neither tells the former nor embodies the latter. For this reason, we believe that Brett Kavanaugh should not sit on the nations highest court.

Pretty much.
What kind of friend badmouths you to the world and stabs you in the back when you arent looking? No one I care to know.
I would sooner have an enemy to my face than a friend who sold me out when he thought could gain at my expense
Cuck him.
Being drunk isnt a crime nor is being twenty years old.
The Amazon Post should put some ice on it.
You’re probably correct!
what matters to me is the years BK has spent on the bench without so much as one challenge.
But thanks, alumni, for putting forth that the entire class of 1988 were a bunch of alcoholic sex- addicts with you three as self-admitted enablers and participants. We’ll be reviewing our employment rolls with that in mind. Guilt by association and all. Way to bring down a university into the gutter. Good job. /s
Three Demagogic Party shills shilling their swill for the Washington ComPost.
I do know people who worked hard and played hard, but I didnt know anyone first in his class who was a heavy drinker. Agreed. However, the one guy who I knew well who was the absolute best promising student, magna cum laude, etc. and just a great guy, ended up killing himself 4 years later.
From “Amos & Andy”:
I not only denies the allegations, I denies the alligator!
Let me guess, all three are registered Dem voters, donate to the Dems and work for Dem related firms?
I better shut up. Im not sure all the statutes of limitation have run out in all of those countries.
Him? Has nothin to do with nothin.
Translation: Why is he a well-thought-of and esteemed jurist about to sit on the highest court and we’re just so-so, ne’er-do-well lawyers with small offices doing the drudge work of our legal masters? That’s not fair!
High school... college... they were a loooong time ago.
Send it to the Pubs in Congress! (It would seem a few of them have found some, recently.)
“...it would be impossible for him to state with any degree of certainty that he remembered everything that he did when drunk. “
“But he also stated that he never drank to the point of blacking out.”
This, they call a lie? Only if “blacking out” means “not remembering everything that he did.”
No evidence.
Their opinion is that he should have become forgetful. They offer no evidence that he did. The merely opine it.
Forgetfulness, for the record, is not an alcohol blackout. As a former chaplain on an alcohol detox ward. I’ve seen those in blackout. One guy, a major insurance exec, was black and blue from injuries he had not a clue how he received. I’m serious. He looked like someone took a 2x4 to him and he had no idea who, how, when, where.
Sounds more like Blasey-Ford doesn’t it, so Kavenaugh who had a calendar in which he later updated who was thete actually has evidence he did not have a real alcoholic blackout.
I caught in the public schools from liberals for trying to warn teenagers about alcohol. Constantly, unending criticism. They can all go to hell.
Suddenly you're worried about someone drinking? Really? What you deserve done to you after what I've been through from people like you self-righteous hypocrites can not be written here.
I drink a lot. You don’t black out from drinking beer. Now if it was vodka, then yes. but it was beer. so another made up lie.
