Holly Howe, 45, told him about a young patient who recently came into the emergency room where she works as a nurse. The woman had been found outside her apartment door, wearing a dress but no underwear, recalling nothing from the night. Hours later, after sobering up, “she looks at me and she goes, I think something happened,” Holly Howe recalled to her son and husband, Gerred Howe, at the dinner table.
“Do not ever, ever think that because you’re both drinking and you both think that it’s consensual, that it’s necessarily okay,” Holly Howe told her son.

Model good behavior and morals. Teach your children to wait until they get married for sex. Teach them to not allow themselves to get into situations where bad things can happen.

What about when the guy says no and the woman yells “sexual assault” out of anger at being rejected?

It is a huge risk. Huge risk.

Girls also need to understand that if they are substantially drinking, that it is *intentionally* losing control of the situation. That doesn’t mean morally that others should take advantage of the drunk, but it is also true that putting yourself in a situation and then removing your brain from it is extremely unwise if you don’t have a goal there, and devious if you do.
