For the first time since Donald Trump entered the political fray, I find myself grateful that he’s in it. I’m reluctant to admit it and astonished to say it, especially since the president mocked Christine Blasey Ford in his ugly and gratuitous way at a rally on Tuesday. Perhaps it’s worth unpacking this admission for those who might be equally astonished to read it.

The Dems treatment of Kavanaugh has finally slapped some sense into the NeverTrumpers.
What’s with this name “Brett”? The the late 20th century-early 21st century version of Muffy, Buffy, Chad and Thurston? Kavanaugh is an Irish Catholic and should have a Catholic name (a saint’s name like Michael) and the Jewish guy should have an Old Testament name.
Bret Stephens finally sees the light. Ever since he moved from the Wall Street Journal to the New York times, he’s been predictably left-wing and sometimes loony. For once, a ray of sunshine and clarity pierces his fevered brain. I’m amazed the New York Times even published it.
