GOP Sen. Ben Sasse (Neb.) said Wednesday night that he urged President Trump to nominate someone other than Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court earlier this year.
"Although I've said many complimentary things about Judge Brett Kavanaugh and his distinguished record … I will say that I urged the president back in June and early July to make a different choice before he announced this nomination," Sasse said during an emotional speech from the Senate floor centering on sexual assault.

Thankfully, the list of senators to primary out of existence is shortening from where we were several years ago. As Ace noted the other day, Flake has totally destroyed whatever credibility Never Trump cucks had left. Kavanaugh left their reputation in tatters. There is zero reason to retain them any longer.

When people think or say that we need to give democrats something more acceptable to them then they are either a democrat sympathizer or they are numbskulled (both)
The next nominee should be and will be even more unacceptable to the democrats.

It’s quite likely that the exact same circus would have happened with even the same or similar players. The Dems would find somebody from the nominee’s high school and let the accusations begin!
The objective is to keep anyone from being confirmed before the midterms. Or, even until the next presidential election. Trump could have nominated the Returned Jesus and he’d have had the same experience Kavanaugh had.
