Sen. Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.) said Monday evening that he sometimes feels like he doesn't belong to a political party.
I sometimes feel like a man temporarily without a party, he said during a speech at the New Hampshire Institute of Politics at Saint Anselm College, according to The Washington Post.
Flake also criticized his party during the speech, saying members of the GOP have "given in to the terrible tribal impulse that first mistakes our opponents for our enemies."
And then we become seized with the conviction that we must destroy that enemy," he said.
Flake's speech came days after he voted in the Senate Judiciary Committee to confirm Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh. He also said at the time, however, that he would support Kavanaugh in the full Senate only if there were first an FBI investigation into accusations of sexual misconduct against the nominee.
Flake's call for an investigation, and Republican Sens. Susan Collins's (Mass.) and Lisa Murkowski's (Alaska) subsequent support of Flake's suggestion, prompted President Trump to ask the FBI to reopen its background investigation into Kavanaugh.
Flake said Monday that the investigation needs to be a "real investigation," according to the Post.
It does no good to have an investigation that just gives us more cover, Flake said. We actually need to find out what we can find out. And we have to realize that we may not be able to find out everything that happened.
The Senate currently plans to vote on Kavanaugh "this week," according to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.).
Well Mr. Flake you’ve always been without a brain so why start whining now?
A man without a party and one without testicles as well.
No more room in the Dem plantation for a house boy. Write a non-selling book, serve coffee at the SC, shine shoes at the Capitol, or any number of other service jobs.
He has a vote.
Either that, or he is and always has been a RINO scumbag.
“I sometimes feel like a man temporarily without a party,
You should have gone to one of Bret’s.
You wouldn’t be feeling so lonely now.
Nothing temporary about it. In exactly 5 weeks, Jeff Flake will cease to be of any relevance forever. The Kavanaugh vote is his last go at being of any relevance. After that, he gets the inevitable dumping on the scrap heap of history.
All Flake has is the Evan McMuffin wing of the party.
Flake, aka Mr. Yellow Snowflake, said the wrong thing. It was actually, “ I sometimes feel like I’m without BRAIN”.
If Flake had lived in the 1930’s, he could have been in “The Wizard of Oz” and gotten a brain.
“A man out of time, a head without a brain. Such is the life of a political turd”.
he has a party. he fits right into the commie/Nazi/Soroz-Puppetmeister DNC party
a perfect match for DiFienstein, Kamala Harris, FakeInJunSquaw, AlGore, and Obama whatever=his=real=Arabic=name=is
That’s what I think is coming too.
He embodies what everybody detests about politics. His guiding principle is whatever he can do to advance his own career and personal agenda.
He is probably related to Judas who betrayed Christ for money. A detestable human being is he.
Wouldn’t it be great if he read these posts? Hi Jeff.....that’s my opinion of your sorry A@@.
*** “And soon to be without a job ***
Naw he just hasn’t figured out the highest paying gig ... MSNBC, CNN etc
Being without a party is the least of your problems. You’re without a brain, courage and character.
He’s a narcissist, but not a very smart one.
I think Phuckin Phlake is without a country! Id call him d*ck but hes sorely missing one of those too!
I think he is already a rat 🐀 Let me rephrase that. He has probably always been a rat 🐀 Now, he will be a Democ(rat)
*** “Flake is unstable and seeking attention. It will be up to Collins or Murkowski. If one votes yes, then it will be a 50/50 tie with Pence deciding it for Kavanaugh” ***
Nope... If it is 50/50 there will be a handful of Dems that will vote yes... look for the ones that wait until the end...
They have no Convictions or a Soul, just the Lust for Power and they will Vote Yes and tell their constituents back home how compassionate and righteous they are.
All of which should be noted, explained and shouted from the roof tops.
