Majority leader again decries Democrats for delay and obstruction
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell is insisting the vote on confirmation of Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court will take place before weeks end.
The Kentucky Republican, speaking on the Senate floor Monday afternoon, said the Democrats chose to hold the allegations against Kavanaugh in reserve in order to derail the nomination.
He spoke about how the Democrats who first received the allegations handled them. He specifically mentioned a law firm with politically connected lawyers that McConnell says Democrats advised Kavanaughs accuser to hire. Those lawyers are set to hold a fundraiser for Democrats this week, McConnell said.

The only cost of this is to the Judge’s family. The Demons are being killed by this in the eyes of Fair-minded people.
It is not hurting Republicans who are bending over backwards (giving them more rope)to appear kind-hearted and reasonable.
And now it is before the Senate.
I also think McConnell is highly ticked-off because the Democrats keep taking a p*ss on his beloved Senate Procedure and Comity.
All the negativism around here is revolting and unwarranted.

It depends. I think “don’t trust Flake” is certainly warranted. Even if he says he’s going to vote “yes,” I wouldn’t trust him to do it since he ALREADY said that and stabbed us in the back.
So knowing nothing yet still making a fool of yourself.
Mitch also said the vote would be LAST WEEK. So he didn’t “follow through” on anything, except delay. He ought to have taken it out of subcommittee and brought to a floor vote last week. He’s supposed to run the Senate, and it’s exactly what Harry Reid would have done
YES!!! YES!!! and YES!!!
This last minute con disrupted that schedule

Does he have the numbers
More nonsense.
Mitch didnt have the votes last week. They had to do the 7th short fbi investigation, knowing more wackos would appear.
This looks like good news on the FBI investigation front. It apparently takes three or four days to line things up for the final vote, so Senator McConnell is implying that the FBI investigation is either already completed, or will be done by tomorrow. I suspect he’s already gotten a report that it’s been completed with no findings that would jeopardize Kavanaugh’s confirmation.
We need this vote this month to put the red state Dem Senate candidates on the hot seat. With the Left as riled up as it is today, no way a vote either way gets those senators out of trouble. A vote for Kavanaugh will anger most of the Left, including their own base, and a vote against him will anger the Trump supporters whose votes they need to win in a red state. Putting them in this situation could be good for three or four Senate seats swinging GOP.
And, for the record, McConnell’s been doing a good job on getting judges through. No criticism here, in that regard anyway. He should have dumped the filibuster on legislation though, and long ago. But he did just that on Supreme Court confirmations at least.
Mitch McConnell saved our bacon once... maybe he can do it again. He’s in my prayers.
Sunday Night at 11:59 PM still qualifies as “this week”.
No Weekend Shore Leave permitted for the U.S. Senate.
Dont you worry Trump IS making s7re the FBI also investigates the CONSPIRATORS there is NO WAY in hell Trump lets this stand on Kavanaughs reputation!!! DiFi, those attorneys, AND Ford are going to be VERY SORRY they ever asked for an FBI investigation!!! I DONT TRUST the FBI superiors HOWEVER I think the rank and file would love the chance to clear their reputations as well!!! I think Wray is OK and the CORRUPT superiors have been removed!!!
Reading their crap is more exhausting than following the proceedings. We have an anchor around our necks.
We’ll see if Myrtle has more spine than Grassley. Personally I would rather see them vote and fail than more delays. At least we will know who stands where.
That article says nothing about the promise being in writing. However, I think all Republicans will vote for him and possibly three Demons.
