When Mike Fleiss, the creator of The Bachelor and Who Wants to Marry a Multimillionaire? helped pioneer reality television in the early 2000s, he quickly realized that for any show to work, the audience needed to feel invested. Whenever youre developing one of these shows, you have to find stakes true love or a million dollars, Mr. Fleiss said.
These days, Mr. Fleiss does what American TV viewers are doing in record numbers he sits glued to cable news, watching a panel of experts discuss the latest developments in the sprawling, intricate, unpredictable 24/7 show that is Donald Trumps presidency. This is the future of the world and the safety of mankind and the health of the planet, Mr. Fleiss told me. He paused. I shouldve thought of that one.
Mr. Fleiss and other TV producers have watched equal parts entranced and horrified as Mr. Trump has taken the gimmicks of reality TV that he picked up on The Apprentice and applied them to daily governance. Flip comparisons of Mr. Trumps White House and his years on The Apprentice abound, but behind the Youre fired! jokes is a serious case study in mass viewing habits and a president who has made up for his lack of experience in governing with an uncanny grasp of must-see TV.
Mr. Fleiss used to joke that at the end of every episode of The Bachelor, the host should tease the Champagne-fueled finale as The most shocking rose ceremony ever! On Tuesday, there was Mr. Trump at the United Nations General Assembly, making a roomful of staid diplomats chuckle with the line In less than two years, my administration has accomplished more than almost any administration in the history of our country.(continued)

You misspelled Slimes.
I still ain’t sick of winning ...
Because the NYTs won’t have anything to print if he doesn’t?
*SNORT*
The enemy of my friend is my friend? The friend of my enemy is my friend? The enemy of my enemy is my friend...and they just want Ad Revenue?
So confusing! ;)
Let’s just win this election first and give Trump a Republican majority in the House and Senate.
It’s up to all Us to get out and VOTE!!!!!!!!!!!
Ironically, that also explains why Trump will win in 2020.
Fleis thinks Trump voters are too stupid to be allowed to vote
Even the New York Times has to acknowledge that Trump has played the media like a Stradivarius.
Hes going to win because he is the most fun president ever. Just watching Gutfielf riff on Trump at the U.N. catch it on thr rerun tonight if you can, I was laughing so hard I could hardly breathe

Jane THANK YOU so much for posting this, our POTUS is amazing I JUST LOVE HIM!!!
Trump will be re-elected because the neo-Bolsheviks have nothing to offer. The only way they win at the national level is by vilifying the opponent. But that won’t work with the Trumpster. They’ve already shot their wad trying to nullify the election and nothing they’ve thrown at him has stuck.
He’s the new Teflon Don.
Gutfeld is making fun of him...didn’t think it was funny.
I didn’t take it that way.
I think it showed Trump owning UN, like a boss.
A few of us, here, saw the humor in it.
Donald J. Trump does not disappoint.
This is absolutely the best job he has ever had in his life, and he has been many things. But behind those gestures and hamming it up for the TV cameras, he is a man of truly quick with and a very sharp intellect, traits that continually confound and discombobulate his enemies and “never-Trumpers” in general, and the Democrat party in particular.
Trump does not fold up in a corner when attacks that would cripple and devastate any other Republican office-holder are hurled his direction, he deflects, and turns the attack back on the instigator. He may not initiate a fight, but his counterpunch is deadly, both in its impact and in its all-out force. If a girl needs to be hit, he goes in full force, smash-mouth, take-no-prisoners, full frontal assault. He then gallantly leans forth, takes her hand and lifts her back up, not in the least contrite, of course, but willing to call off the attack if she just gets back to a civil level. I refer people to the sagas of Omarosa, and Megyn Kelly, both of whom made some pretty strong assertions, and were verbally knocked flat, but again, with no lingering animus.
Mr. Trump this, Mr. Trump that. Hey Amy, it’s PRESIDENT Trump. Get used to it!
Perhaps, Gutfeld does have a hard edge to his humor. But I really didn’t like the audience’s laughter. Didn’t get the impression they were laughing with him, but at him. Maybe I’m just to crazy about the Prez to be anything less than defensive on his behalf.
OMG I love this POTUS and I thought this was VERY FUNNY it is Trump being Trump it is WHY we love him!!!
