Sen. Ted Cruz used his legal background to review evidence related to assault allegations against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, based on how it would be done in a court of law.
Cruz focused on the importance of the written testimony from accuser Christine Blasey Fords close friend Leland Keyser
Cruz illustrated how Kavanaugh does not fit the profile of someone alleged to have committed the sexual assault described by Ford.
Republican Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas dismantled the argument against confirming Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court by systematically evaluating the evidence that was presented to the Senate Judiciary Committee in a way that would be done in a court of law.
How do the American people resolve the discrepancy when you have two witnesses that testify to things diametrically opposed? Cruz asked Friday in front of the committee, acknowledging the conflict in testimony between Kavanaugh and Christine Blasey Ford, the woman accusing Kavanaugh of sexual misconduct more than 35 years ago. Well, the only way I know to and this is how a court of law operates, this is how most reasonable people operate is when you have conflicting testimony you look to what does the rest of the evidence demonstrate.(continued)

In a history reenactment thought experiment, what would the conversation be like between ford and leland the next time they talk?
What I’ve believed all along. Every
teenaged girl I knew in highschool
had a buddy. Someone to back them
up if things went bad. Especially
if it were just them crashing the
party. They looked out for each
other.
There’s another thing that’s bothered me
thru all this. If Ms Ford was so
traumatized as to suffer PTSD due to
the events that supposedly happened,
did she attend any parties after this?
And she was provided with all the deference possible by the POS’s in Congress.
RE: traumatized, goes to more parties
Ford already admitted to drinking so heavily in last 2 years of high school that she didn’t remember those last 2 years. However, the hazard of bringing that up is that she could say it was her way of “coping” with the alleged incident.
Nobody ever mentions that Leland Keyser is Bob Beckel’s ex-wife. Interesting, but probably not pertinent.
Was Ford put under oath?
Pretty sure Mitchell was instructed to throw softball questions at Ford.
And the interesting thing is all the threads I’m seeing on FR that are step by step blowing up Ford’s case.
This one week respite and close examination of the evidence may very well nail the door shut on the RAT plot to frame Kavanaugh.
Only now it’s getting interesting — and the weekend has only begun.
“Was Ford put under oath?”
I missed the beginning of the hearings that day, but I have seen pics of her standing with her hand in the air, flanked by her two Soros attorneys. I assumed she was taking an oath.
Can a witness lie 10 times under oath and be OK? How about 25 times? 50?
Yo Cruz, to libtard and progressive DEMS, there is no Constitution, Bill of Rights, freedom of speech, your are GUILTY till you prove yourself innocent, or even rule of law....oh wait, my bad, unless you are a libtard, progressive DEM......../s
I made the same observation several days ago. Too bad Mitchell never addressed that with Ford.
They were going easier on her, so they wouldn’t look like they were bullying her. So they ended up not even being effective. And all for nothing, the Democrats and the Rhinos didn’t care, they don’t even want to look at evidence and facts anyway. It’s all about emotion. This is why Republicans should never cave, just hold to the truth and quit pandering.
Leland gave her sworn statement to to the senate under penalty of felony charges. If she changes her story now I hope she is prosecuted. It might be smart to stick with the truth. Her bank accounts need monitored if the story changes.
Or...........
The reason no one has been identified as the person who drove her to the party and then home, after the incident is that there was no need.
The party Ford refers to was not a high school kids party at some parent's house but an adult get together hosted by her parents at their (her) house, therefore, no need for transport.
It was unlikely that she spent time mingling with her parent's guest and spent time in her room. Being no stranger to alcohol at age 15 nor alcohol fueled teen parties she might even have been indulging in her upstairs bedroom as her parents and guests partied away downstairs.
By her own account and description a bathroom was located near the top of the staircase landing with a door in close proximity to the door of a bedroom into which she claims to have been shoved into from behind as she had climbed the stairs on her way to use the bathroom.
Well, I believe Ford was in her room, door open, sipping a beer and passing the time way. At some point a male from the downstairs party needed to use the bathroom and went upstairs and either before or after using the bathroom engaged the flirty, under influence of alcohol, 15 year old Chrissy in a conversation. What follows next is more than Chrissy bargained for.
IMHO, the assault was perpetrated either by a family member, close family friend or someone very influential.
Or that her friend wouldn't have asked 'what happened?' If your friend wants to leave a party abruptly, natural curiosity is going to cause you to ask, unless of course, nothing unusual happened.
You nailed it. You usually do. Nice post and thanks for taking the time to write that.
there was no party because if she was at a real party there has to have been real witnesses,, and they would have had REAL memories and other people’s REAL memories would have countered Ford’s fantasy story with facts,,,
with a made up story about a made up party Ford can dictate ALL the facts where nobody else can refute Ford’s made up facts only swear they know nothing about it.. that’s why her fantasy story has her not knowing how she got there where it was or how she got away...
leaving those areas blank allows her to only go after Brett Kavanaugh(he’s the guy she has to get in her made up story) and not have to put many other people into the fantasy (like who drove her to and from the party) who would ALSO refute her story
she knew nobody she said was there would remember that party because the story of the party was a fantasy,, you can’t remember what never happened,, she knows that remember her profession.. there are lot’s of reasons people remember certain parties,, beer bottles breaking causing hospital visits for stitches, people hitting their heads on diving boards, people falling down stairs, fights ect ect. ect
somehow she knew even though she never stayed around that nothing eventful happened to where one person would remember that party.. how would she have known how that party could have progressed?,, she left... hmmmm
how was she so sure because I remember most parties I ever went to ,, especially at a very small gathering when one of my best friends disappears and never comes back...,, she was so sure because she made it up.. not hard to figure out THIS party never happened
What would Leland think when Ford disappeared without a trace? Wouldn’t she be extremely worried about her friend? Wouldn’t she remember that if it had actually happened?
The point I was trying to convey is
if she were so traumatized by this
single event, why would she place
herself in the same predicament over
and over again?
Actually, Cruz has argued more cases before the US Supreme Court than any practicing lawyer in Texas or any current member of Congress.
