Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh drew praise from his defenders for his outrage at Democrats for withholding the accusation of sexual assault by Christine Blasey Ford only to trot it out just as the Senate Judiciary Committee was about to vote.
“Judge Brett Kavanaugh presented powerful testimony laced with tears of this shameful attempt by Democrats to destroy him and his family. No one should be subjected to such despicable tactics. Judge Kavanaugh deserves to be confirmed,” said Mat Staver, founder of Liberty Counsel.
Kavanaugh called the process that Democrats have forced him into a “national disgrace” and pointed out to the offending Democratic senators, “My name and my family have been permanently destroyed by vicious and false additional accusations.”
Likely no opinions were changed on Thursday. Most of the Democrats opposing him stated even before his name was announced for the nomination they would oppose whomever President Trump would nominate.
They fear Kavanaugh, a judge who prides himself in “interpreting the Constitution as written,” could be the fifth vote in a court decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, returning regulation of abortion to the states.

It’s been pretty well rumored he considers it settled law at this point.
Yes it will return to the states where the only thing left at the federal level will be to protect the woman’s life. That will be tied to the 14 th amend.
The Dems thought there was no fight in Kavanaugh and he showed up with and used a grenade launcher. This was more powerful than the long knives they had been using and tried to pull out again when they realized he wasn’t going to roll over and deferentially take their assassination attempts on his professional and personal life, his honor, reputation, integrity and family.
Heck, if anything, the Lynchocrats just might have turned Justice Kavanaugh, a moderate with conservative leanings, into a hardcore Conservative, with their cheap parlor tricks.
If Roe v. Wade is overturned, all 50 State Legislatures will be in emergency session within two weeks to preserve the right of women to kill their babies.
Sadly Roe will NEVER be overturned!! We don’t have enough GOOD people in this country.
GOP got lucky. Dems played a 1980s game of “he said-she said” because they’re old and ignorant. My prediction: a year from now— Trump is president...GOP holds Senate...Ginsburg takes the big dirt nap. Trump nominates a conservative...his internet search logs get leaked and all hell breaks loose.
Coming in the near future: the young left is far more internet savvy than what the Dems have on capitol hill right now. If they lose this nomination fight and the GOP holds Congress, the Left will clean house and put their geezers out to pasture. We’ll still have ours.

For goodness sakes - that's how we all know what our limit is - we have blown through it on at least one occasion - I will here confess to one youthful indiscretion, ONE I say.
That’s right, they are not stunned. Local political radio this morning reporting the addresses of Lindsey Graham and other Repubs likely to vote yes have been posted on WikiLeaks in an attempt to intimidate them......these people have no bottom to their nastiness.
Roe vs Wade is a garbage ruling with no constitutional basis. If K upholds it as settled law, those who have fought hardest for his nomination will never forgive him.
