With the Senate Judiciary Committee holding a vote at 9:30 A.M. tomorrow, a Senate insider has told Townhall that Kavanaugh has the votes to make it out of committee and the votes to be confirmed on the floor for a seat on the U.S. Supreme Court. Sens. Flake (R-AZ), Collins (R-ME), Murkowski (R-AK), and Manchin (D-WV) are expected to vote in favor of Kavanaugh. All the Republicans are voting yes. Also, in the rumor mill, several Democrats may break ranks and back Kavanaugh. Thats the ball game, folks.
It was an intense and hellacious day at the Senate Judiciary Committee. Christine Blasey Ford, the woman accusing Judge Brett Kavanaugh of an attempted rape while at a high school party, told her story of her alleged sexual assault. It was intense. It was emotional. And it still lacked evidence, witnesses, and other corroborating details. Its an unprovable allegation, which is what Democrats want; it allows them to delay and run out the clock on this nomination. The FBI investigation talking point has been beaten to death by Senate Democrats, another delay tactic that has been undercut by past remarks by none other than Joe Biden. When he chaired the committee during the Clarence Thomas confirmation hearings, Biden famously said that FBI reports are inconclusive and should not be relied on during sexual misconduct allegations.
Brett Kavanaugh testified later this afternoon, giving an emotional and fiery defense of his character and career after it had been under a sustained assault by the Left for over a week. Kavanaugh said that the allegationsall three of themwere false and have irreparably damaged his reputation and damaged his family life. He said this process had become a national disgrace, with Democrats replacing advise and consent with search and destroy. Kavanaugh needed to come out swinging. He needed to be tough. And he did just that.
Very profound point!
Well said.
Flake is the one I am worried about the most. He could screw up the committee vote.
This will be forgotten but his judicial legacy won’t be.
Can you just imagine the Sunday talk shpws this week?!?!?
What do you think the chances are that the MSM stooges will be clamoring to put Graham on now? Graham has always been their go to guy for the squishy GOPe view on issues.
“Im fired up, thats for sure.
And I dont think Im alone. This is War!”
Same here.
“Question: Will the democrats find women to charge assault and rape against all nominees?......”
not if the Pubs confirm Kavanaugh ... this scorched earth smear campaign was a one-trick pony ... can’t really be used again any time soon ... especially if the Dems get their butts kicked during the midterm because so many people are pissed off at the Dems disgusting behavior ... what the Dems did was on FULL display this time ... not like when they borked Bork back when there was only 3 networks and a couple of papers that totally controlled ALL information that was spoon-fed to we peasants back in the day ...
What the Dems have no handle on is how to face a brace patriot. Graham and Kavanaugh kicked their butts.
Nope, it's a done deal.
I haven't watched those shows for more than ten years. I may have to borrow a television or go to a friend's house to watch.
I watched Hannity tonight, first time in years. Lindsey was on and still fired up, but back to calling some of the Democrats his friends. There can be no “friends” across the aisle after this. Anyone that can call themselves a Democrat after this display is beyond contempt.
This is all out War for the future of the US not just for today and not just for this nomination. The Republicans need to get that through their heads.
My favorite parts:
1. Lindsay throwing a tizzy. I mean one that really moved me. Lindsay has suddenly butched up, big-time.
2. Those old harridan b*tches chasing Lindsay down the hall, screaming their heads off. They did a great job HELPING US. They made their side look terrible, exactly how I want it.
Thank you Brett and Graham.
Yep, they wanted to prevent the most conservative Supreme Court since FDR, but they went too far, and now they will get . . . THE MOST CONSERVATIVE SUPREME COURT SINCE FDR!
Meet the new Kavanaugh: ROBOKAVANAUGH!
Lets face it. No matter who was nominated this (or something similar) was going to happen. So that radicalization is somewhat irrelevant and expected imho. When he is confirmed Ill just take it as the painful win it was and a lesson for the next one, or two.
Praise God
Yes, every man who has been affected by false or misleading allegations — I was, twice — will hopefully be out to the polls to counter all those others who watched the hearing and started to wonder if Kavanaugh is too angry to sit on SCOTUS, thus compelling them to vote Dim.
Lindsay Graham and Kavanaugh himself saved the day
Hat tip Ted Cruz gnawing on Feinsteins chilblains for leaking
My Ethiopian-born neighbor, who grew up in Israel, told me she’s only interested in Israeli politics and refuses to register or vote. We really got into it today, but did not break our friendship. Still, I am righteously ticked off at her refusal to actually become a true American. She’s still a foreigner who happens to live in America, but she’s not an American. Neither are many of the “new” immigrants here. They, unlike in my father’s generation, don’t drop their language or customary way of doing things. They are not proud to become part of the melting pot. They remain little islands of this country or that country within our midst. Some day I really fear a fifth column from the immigrants of one of these countries.
Praise God! Father, in the Name of Jesus, I pray according to Your word, for Judge Kavanaugh:
No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.
Amen and Amen!
They would have tried to depict Pryor as a redneck, George Wallace supporting segregationist.
There's no winning with these sickos.
