With the Senate Judiciary Committee holding a vote at 9:30 A.M. tomorrow, a Senate insider has told Townhall that Kavanaugh has the votes to make it out of committee and the votes to be confirmed on the floor for a seat on the U.S. Supreme Court. Sens. Flake (R-AZ), Collins (R-ME), Murkowski (R-AK), and Manchin (D-WV) are expected to vote in favor of Kavanaugh. All the Republicans are voting yes. Also, in the rumor mill, several Democrats may break ranks and back Kavanaugh. Thats the ball game, folks.
It was an intense and hellacious day at the Senate Judiciary Committee. Christine Blasey Ford, the woman accusing Judge Brett Kavanaugh of an attempted rape while at a high school party, told her story of her alleged sexual assault. It was intense. It was emotional. And it still lacked evidence, witnesses, and other corroborating details. Its an unprovable allegation, which is what Democrats want; it allows them to delay and run out the clock on this nomination. The FBI investigation talking point has been beaten to death by Senate Democrats, another delay tactic that has been undercut by past remarks by none other than Joe Biden. When he chaired the committee during the Clarence Thomas confirmation hearings, Biden famously said that FBI reports are inconclusive and should not be relied on during sexual misconduct allegations.
Brett Kavanaugh testified later this afternoon, giving an emotional and fiery defense of his character and career after it had been under a sustained assault by the Left for over a week. Kavanaugh said that the allegationsall three of themwere false and have irreparably damaged his reputation and damaged his family life. He said this process had become a national disgrace, with Democrats replacing advise and consent with search and destroy. Kavanaugh needed to come out swinging. He needed to be tough. And he did just that.
Hold the morning vote to send to full senate and schedule full vote in the afternoon. Dont give the evil left a chance to propagate more lies about Kavanaugh
Media is also toast in many places.
I think this makes Kavanaugh a solid vote for conservatives.
I think it was a major wakeup to ALL NeverTrumpers and traditional Republicans that Trump-style politics is what we need to do. This is WAR. Treat it as such.
RBG isn’t long for this earth. Need to get ready for Barrett as the next nominee!
‘And it cant erase the injustice that has been perpetrated on this man and his family.’
In the meantime — Bill Clinton and Pedophile Island. Hillary and the rigged lie detector to defend a child rapist — sadism caught on tape. The strange death of Betty Curry’s brother regarding Lewinski.
And — Hollyweird leftists on record defending Hollyweird creeps before the ‘Me Too’ Movement.
This is making me re-think what the GOP/RNC Establishment’s real motivation was.
Maybe they had been beaten down by leftist consultants, leftist staffers, etc. This was their chance to keep us down under centralized power, but in the end the RNC stands for something different.
A less ambitious goal than ours? A more ‘realistic’ goal? Watered down perhaps.
I think the Bushes are operating on the false premise that Kavanaugh will remain a Mushy Bushy Moderate.
After this fiasco, I suspect Kavanaugh will be seated somewhat to the right of Scalia and Thomas.
But, let me take a moment to say: CONGRATULATIONS, SCOTUS JUSTICE KAVANAUGH.
No, I believe the next Democrat tactic will be to have a Hawaiian Federal Judge issue an Injunction against seating Kavanaugh.
“I think it was a major wakeup to ALL NeverTrumpers and traditional Republicans that Trump-style politics is what we need to do.”
Maybe so. It was as though I read your mind in Post 165.
I never thought Senator Graham would ever leave the Dark Side. I never thought I’d hear McConnell angry at leftists.
Maybe it’s been tainted advisors, tainted staffers, tainted consultants, astroturf, and even interns — all indoctrinated by leftist professors.
For all of their faults, when the Bush family knows you personally to be a good person they will always be there for you.
Yeah, I can stipulate that fact.
I suppose even amnesty globalists can have a good facet or two.
[Straight face.]
This judge would endanger us — global warming hazard.
Red alert!
‘I suppose even amnesty globalists can have a good facet or two.’
[Warm smile.]
You got to know that the females in the Bush family had to bring out fresh boxes of tissues and pray on their knees for him. God-fearing people.
Misguided about the border, Minutemen, and a few other things, but the family as a whole means well.
I just heard the 3 Rs are undecided. Source: FOX News Channel and some CNN reporter named Oscar Jimenez.
Who is right?
Look for a November bloodbath of the Democrats at the polls.

If this is true, then justice has prevailed. How great it would be to be able to have a real conversation about the important issues which confront us, which are many, with more patriots than power mongers involved in government positions. We need honest people with real expertise in powerful positions and they need to be chosen based on how much they have sacrificed of themselves to prepare for such positions. I want a united nation to live in, not an tribal one. We are learning that those easily duped will lose everything, even their country. Constance vigilance is required to maintain freedom.
They will do ANYTHING to stop his confirmation. ANYTHING.
I think I said that earlier, before the allegations became known.
I agree, he's a changed man after this. He's never been through anything remotely like this and it's hard to imagine him not bearing some lasting bitterness. Clarence Thomas still carries it.
