This is a must read, from lawyer Jonathan Turley's blog:
The passage of a polygraph by Christine Blasey Ford has been a key factor for many in believing her story a fact cited by various members of Congress. However, my main interest is the polygraph itself, which does not sound like any legitimate polygraph that I have encountered. I have handled a number of polygraph cases in my career and the description of these questions are nothing short of bizarre as a reliable test.
The most notable aspect of the story however is the only two "relevant" questions asked by Hanafin "Is any part of your statement false?" and "Did you make up any part of your statement?"
Those questions would be effectively useless in an actual case. Good polygraphers ask specific, clear, insular questions. They do not use overarching language. He did not ask specific questions on whether she was assaulted by Kavanaugh a rather curious omission.
I have never met a polygrapher who would structure questions like these for use in a test. If this is truly the content of the examination, I would view it as largely useless in an actual case.
This is indeed odd. Normal polygraph questions in this case would likely ask yes or no questions about each very narrow, very specific item claimed, along with countering questions. An example might be: "Did someone pull you into the bedroom", and "Did you walk into the bedroom", "Did someone push you onto the bed", and "Did you sit on the bed."
The more questions, the more reliable the polygraph.

This is all Kabuki theater!
Whoever the guy is who did the ‘test’....he’s either at the end of his career, or just does oddball cases like this. If you tried to enter a court case with this.....most would laugh you out of the room...it has no value.
Well, the test was only given so that that certain politicians could claim “She passed a polygraph test!” in a public forum. The details do not matter, and if you care about them you are obviously some kind of white male sexist racist homophobe who shouldn’t be allowed to speak in public. :)
Still haven’t heard a tough question from prosecutor Rachel Mitchell. Anytime now??????
New Details Raise Serious Doubts Over The UN-Credibility Of The Ford Polygraph
She admits she doesn’t know who pushed her into the room because they were behind her. Yet she’s certain it was Kavanaugh who did the rest. I’m betting either it was someone else and she’s transposed him into her memory (maybe had a crush on an older boy?) or this was a consensual make-out session that she changed her mind about and maybe he persisted a bit longer. What guy hasn’t been in a position of having to be told “no” more than once?
It’s 11:50 AM on the East Coast and I haven’t as yet turned on the TeeVee. I no interest in this mess other than the vote.
I would add on a typical polygraph the same question will be asked several times worded differently at different times. The theory being for a lie, it takes more effort to process than the truth. And again, interspersed with control questions (basic questions known to be true or false, i.e., “Were you born in Milwaukee Wisconsin”).
The more questions, the more reliable the polygraph.
Wrong. There are many types of polygraph tests. Even with the modern machines there are on a few control questions and no more than 4 relevant questions. Og the 4, none can be ambiguous. They must be specific as to a yes and no answer.
I have seen many of these. Usually when one has money(or access) they run and take a test and tout the results. The questions are rarely revealed.
Any local prosecutor who has been sandbagged by this situation would have their expert review the questions, answers, polygraper score, machine score, etc... Polygraphs are taken in video to assure accuracy. I doubt Dr. Ford took one with video.
The goal is consistency. Three tests are used and total score is used.
Same here. It’s all theater and I refuse to participate. Just confirm him and move on to the next Leftist manufactured outrage.
WHEN was the polygraph taken? Why? Who initiated it?
Feinstien and Schumer have turned this Constitutional confirmation process into part Soviet show-trial, part truck-stop mud-wrestling competition.
It is very possible something like this happened. It is not such a crazy idea.
But for some reason, people on the left and the right believe there are two binaries of male interaction with females: Total platonic and full-on intercourse. As if there are no bases between home plate and home plate.
Sometimes a grope is just a grope, and not attempted rape. It still would be considered sexual assault.
Not to belittle it, it is also possible two 17 year old high school football players could terrify and traumatize a 15 year old girl.
But there is no way to know the intent of the perpetrator. How do we know in the incident the goal was not to simply expose her breasts? Or to see if he could grope her without getting thrown off? Teenage boys have done this kind of stupid stuff for decades.
That is why, in most jurisdictions, there is no such thing as “attempted rape”, but only degrees of sexual assault. And what Dr. Ford described likely would have been under Maryland law 4th degree sexual assault, which is a misdemeanor.
I used a polygraph machine for many years in my human physiology classes. This polygraph test given to Ford is a joke... You establish a base line with several yes or no questions... such as “is you name Dr. Ford? Do you live in CA? etc. You also lead into the main questions so you can establish an anticipation reactions instead of a surprised reaction. This polygraph test was a farce.
Agreed. The entire matter is way out of hand. Nothing new with these Democraps. Trump could have ended this long ago with a few arrests of key people.
Polygraphs are useful interrogation tools. They are unreliable in determining guilt or innocence.
Someone on another post asked did she fly to MD for this thingy because it was held in an airport hotel...
Today she said she had gone to Delaware at some time this year...July I think it was...she said she went on July ??? 2018 meaning she left CA and arrived in DE the same day...
About the 2 front doors on her house from 2012 on...it seems she managed to live for 30 years with only one...
Where do both of these doors lead too ??? the same room or 2 separate rooms ???
