The owner of a Washington, D.C. restaurant where Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, and his wife were heckled by a group of protesters earlier this week, said staffers have received “life-threatening” messages in the wake of the incident.

Two one-minute video clips were posted to the Twitter page of a group called “Smash Racism DC,” where protesters could be heard chanting, “We believe survivors!”

An activist shouted can be hear shouting “Sexist, racist, anti-gay!” while a woman quizzed the Texas GOP senator whether he believes the women making the allegations against Kavanaugh. The federal judge has denied all allegations made against him.

The couple was escorted out of the restaurant through a side entrance, before being brought back in later through the kitchen after to enjoy the rest of their meal, according to the statement.

While Trabocchi noted he is not in the business of “hospitality” or “public safety,” the restaurant owner said he has implemented additional safety measures to “ensure the ongoing and future privacy, safety and security for our staff and guests.”

It requires respect, listening, and sometimes a little etiquette, like keeping your elbows and politics off the dinner table.”

Yes democrats are dangerous. We are going to need to sequester them from the general public for the good of society. Maybe we could put them in correctional facilities. At least the ones who are bent on destruction and threatening people all the time. Also why can they protest right outside the door but pro lifers must be in the next zip code to protest an abortion facility.

Quit trying to damage the restaurant, Cruz himself very much likes the owner/chef and did not have any complaints about the owner or staff’s response.

The management may have made amends with the Cruzes, but the question still remains how were the Communists tipped off on the dinner engagement. I bet Cruz made reservations and someone on the staff ratted out the reservation to the left wing flash mob. Don’t tell me these mobsters were inside patronizing this exclusive restaurant when the Cruzes walked in.

Someone tipped off the protesters and I would investigate who did that. And be fired...

The more the left acts up, the more motivated I am to vote against them.

“Someone tipped off the protesters and I would investigate who did that”

That’s true. And it should be easy enough to determine who did it. Low-I.Q. a—holes like that think they’re so cute they usually brag about ot and/or post on Twitter.

The restaurant should have expelled the protesters immediately without a doubt.

Amazing how some people NEVER get it.

“Ted Cruz, R-Texas, and his wife were heckled “what I saw went beyond heckling. That was an angry mob of dangerous animals.

This is getting completely out of hand. You can NOT bother anyone who goes out to eat. In Latin America and other countries, people are assassinated in restaurants over various disagreements. This is war.

What would the Democrats say if some prominent WOMAN Democrat were out eating in a restaurant with her family and was harassed and driven out of a restaurant. This needs to be tested just for the response (and that of law enforcement in such a situation). What would happen?

He did take action. He got rid of the protesters after taking the Cruzes to safety. What more do you want of the owner?

He should have the staff be ready to jab the protesters with fruit forks until they decide to leave!

Seriously, though good post.

Agree.

The real problem lies with local governments that tell their police forces to stand down/ hands with radical left wing mobs and the radical activist judges that release those few that are arrested with modest if any fines and no jail time. The system was deliberately perverted and reconstructed by the national Democrat machine after the 1968 convention riots.

Punish the self-indulgent Antifa stooges sand others with real jail/prison time, stiff fines for the actors and organizers and the allure of “direct action” will drop dramatically.

The restaurant should have expelled the protesters immediately without a doubt.

And how exactly should the restaurant have down that? Baseball bats? Pepper spray? Bird shot? Fire hose? Be real.

Just like Soros and the radical left have trained these turds in thuggery, we need to train our side on how to react when confronted in a public place:

1. Hold your ground. These thugs are bullies, but they are not so stupid as to physically cause harm in front of dozens of witnesses, as well as video cameras. Indeed, from what I have read, the thugs usually video the victims and by-standers to discourage people from attacking them. Keep in mind, that like all bullies that want you to react and the desired reaction is retreat.

2. Remain seated and call 911 to report a hostage situation and that lives may be in danger.

3. Press criminal charges no matter how minor and inconvenient. Yes, you may have to reschedule something important to take the time to file charges and appear in court, but that is a small price for freedom.

4. Sue the thugs.

‘Cruz himself very much likes the owner/chef’

irrelevant...a restaurant is in the position of accomodating a paying customer, and if he is being harrassed by non patrons, it is incumbent upon the manager, in his own best interests, to get those interlopers out of his customer’s face...

One way businesses in Latin America and Europe deal with this type of problem is locked doors and buzzer entry only after staff have determined that those at the door are safe and authorized.

‘Or do you expect the maître d’/hostess to shoot them if they go past the reservation desk?’

I expect the owner to provide an atmosphere commensurate with the price I am paying to eat there...which does not include screaming nuts spouting childish chants at myself and my co-diners...
