Judge Brett Kavanaugh, speaking with Fox News's Martha MacCallum on Monday, vowed: "I'm not going anywhere."
t meant he will neither withdraw nor surrender, but will fight through the nomination process even as Democrats release, one by one, thinly sourced, tightly held allegations of what they say is Kavanaugh's pattern of extreme drunkenness and sexual assault when he was younger.
It is all a part of an apparent strategy by Senate Democrats, bolstered by the momentum of the #MeToo movement, to take down Kavanaugh, win back control of the Senate in the upcoming midterm elections, and then block the entire Trump lineup of potential Supreme Court picks.
"All we have to do is unite our 49 Democrats and get one, one Republican, to agree to vote no," former Hillary Clinton Campaign Manager Brian Fallon recently said.
There are 10 Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee. They are unanimously opposed to Kavanaugh. With only 11 Republicans on the committee, all eyes were on undecided Sen. Jeff Flake, R-Ariz., as he took to the Senate floor Thursday, on the eve of what could likely be riveting testimony of accuser and accused.
"I do not believe the claim of sexual assault is invalid because a 15-year-old girl did not promptly report the assault to authorities as the president of the United States said two days ago," Flake said.

Doesn’t matter. If it fails I will never vote for a republican again in my life. This is not bluster. They will have exposed that they are simply the red wing of a blue/red party and they are playing us all for fools.
There is no “after” if Kavanaugh fails.
Good Lord. The nomination is not going to fail.
If the Brett Kavanaugh nomination fails, the US Federal court system no longer has any legitimacy.
I hope it’s Amy Barrett if it fails. She’d be even worse on the court for the left.

If you had focused on that coverage on election night in 2016 there would have been no doubt in your mind that Hillary was going to easily walk away with it. These people are such good liars because they are even fooling themselves.
If the Kavanaugh nomination fails, NO nomination, by Trump, or any future ( like in 100 years, IF this nation is still in existence ) GOP nominee will EVER be passed again!

If it fails because 2 out of 51 GOP senators go wobbly, I am NOT turning my back on the 49 sane senators and helping our bisexual democrat senate candidate who wore pink tutus to protest any response to 9/11 get in office!

But I don’t think the Republicans are anywhere near that stupid. They know exactly what a failure would mean.
I know the feeling. After the Reagan era ended many of us withdrew until the escalator ride of Trump.
But....
You can’t do it now.
Like the Cubans or Russians or Iranians or North Koreans, there will never be another election if the socialists win in the US. Those people said maybe next time but the totalitarians made it so there WAS no next time.

No Google searches for Conservative terms,no Twitter accounts, no PayPal allowed, no NRA funding by any credit card or bank, setting up gun confiscation, fully paid abortions with school classes promoting them, taxes sky high to pay for Single Payer health system, whites to pay reparations to blacks,cop killing and restrictions on police rampant.
That’s what happens without voting for GOP evern if wimpy ones. We cannot allow that.
Regardless of what happens with Kavanaugh, Amy Coney Barrett could be next, followed by William Pryor.
He isn't going anywhere.
I don't think the Senate will ever reject his nomination, either. They'd rather stall it without making a decision ... and let Trump fill the spot with short-term recess appointments.
This time it’s different.
To be clear, all my thoughts are along the lines of defense, not offense.
And it won’t be right away.
But again, that is an outcome I really don’t expect, but I was fooled in 2008, so you never know. :)
