Christine Blasey Ford’s lawyers said Wednesday they have given the Senate sworn affidavits from four people who say she told them well before Brett Kavanaugh’s Supreme Court nomination that she had been sexually assaulted when she was much younger.
And according to all four, she either named Kavanaugh as the assailant or described the attacker as a “federal judge.”
At the U.N., meanwhile, President Donald Trump said on the eve of the Senate Judiciary Committee hearing with Kavanaugh and Ford that Republicans have been “nice” and “respectful” in their treatment of Ford. He described his nominee as “a real gem” and said he probably would have pushed for faster confirmation rather than waiting for Ford’s testimony.
In one of the affidavits, family friend Keith Koegler said he wrote to Ford in a June 29 email, “I remember you telling me about him, but I don’t remember his name,” family friend Keith Koegler wrote to Ford in a June 29 email, according to his statement. “Do you mind telling me so I can read about him?”
“Brett Kavanaugh,” Ford responded by email, according to Koegler, her son’s baseball team coach.
Trump nominated Kavanaugh, 53, to the high court on July 9. Kavanaugh staunchly denies ever sexually assaulting anyone, and his allies have questioned the credibility of Ford and a second accuser based in part on what they say is a lack of corroboration. Trump has dismissed both accusations as a “Democratic con job.”
The affidavits signed Monday and Tuesday of this week could give more weight to Ford’s story on the eve of her testimony — and Kavanaugh’s expected denial — before the Senate Judiciary Committee on Thursday.

So what? They aren't witnesses. They are just passing on gossip.
No one has bothered to question whether Ford announced a recovered memory at her psychiatric counseling in 2012.
So why is she “corroborating” that with people she supposedly told about her newly minted “memory”, post 2012. Much of it VERY post 2012, and nothing beforehand.
This indicates she has no evidence whatsoever and has been slandering Kavanaugh repeatedly since 2012. If Kavanaugh sues, he can use these people as witnesses.
This doesn’t “corroborate” anything other than she recently told her same story to a couple of people.

Her son’s baseball team coach? So she knew him back in 1982 and told him contemporaneously about this “incident”
But DECADES LATER he is ID as “her son’s baseball coach”?

It's definitely not corroboration since they weren't there at the time it happened, or had knowledge of it at the time it allegedly occurred. All these are, are basically character witness statements.
Anytime a leftist claims something, it must be remembered that it is because they are mentally unbalanced in some way that they are lefties. Their perceptions are therefore generally worthless, and tend always toward the hysterical. The simplest, most innocuous event in a leftist’s life can trigger the most over the top, hyperbolic response from them. I see it every day, and I have no reason to believe that these claims against Judge Kavanaugh are any different.
She doesn’t even get signatures from her Brothers, Mother and Father on a family support letter but were getting support affidavits from her young kids baseball coach.
This “corroboration” is EXACTLY like saying that you now have proof that you were abducted by aliens, because shortly after you “recovered” these memories via hypnotic regression you told some people about it. That’s about as absurd as it gets and is no proof at all.
Yep, I saw that. Under the left’s new rules, he has to go. In his case, he actually DID do what is alleged (police were called immediately and investigated, none of this 36 years later nonsense).

I just find this oddly suspicious. She claimed that she never told anyone and that now suddenly, she told 4 people?
There were 4 people in the room, no 2, no 3?

It simply means she’s been politicized a long time. In those years Kavenaugh was on the DC Circuit, the 2d most influential court in the nation. He was writing against Obamacare, for priests for life, against gun control, etc.
He would have come to activist Ford’s attention. She could have been hatching this character assassination for some time.
Utterly meaningless. That she told someone she was assaulted in no way “corroborates” her accusations.

Oh so she gets some guy to say they talked over lunch at restaurant back in June 2013. Like how would you remember the month, the restaurant and the year. Seriously? 5 years ago? My GF told me she had been molested by her step-father few years ago. It was on the phone- but I can’t tell you the month or year we talked.
June email with her son’s coach June 29th. This was setting it up that she talked about it. July 7th the letter is prepared and given to House Rep.
I think she will.
How does someone remember 5 years ago in June 2013 at a specific restaurant a conversation they were having. Maybe the convo, but no way the month,the year and the restaurant from 5 yrs ago.
