Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh on Monday defended himself against the sexual assault allegations roiling his nomination by saying he was a virgin through high school and college.
"We’re talking about an allegation of sexual assault," Kavanaugh said in a clip released from his interview on Fox News Channel's "The Story with Martha MacCallum."
"I’ve never sexually assaulted anyone," Kavanaugh said. "I did not have sexual intercourse or anything close to sexual intercourse in high school or for many years thereafter ... The girls from the schools I went to, and I, were friends."
"Through all these years that were in question, you were a virgin?" Fox News host Martha MacCallum asked.
"That’s correct," Kavanaugh replied, adding that he did not have sex until "many years after" college.
Neither of the two accusations regarding Kavanaugh involve sexual intercourse. Christine Blasey Ford is alleging Kavanaugh held her down and groped her over her clothes during a high school party in 1982, and Deborah Ramirez claims he exposed himself without her consent during a gathering at Yale University a few years later.
Fox News released clips from the interview throughout the evening on Monday.
At another point in the interview, Kavanaugh vowed he is "not going anywhere" despite the allegations.
"I’m not going to let false accusations drive us out of this process," he said, sitting beside his wife as she nodded.
Kavanaugh during the interview denied attending the party in Ford's account.
"[I am] not questioning and have not questioned that perhaps Dr. Ford at some point in her life was sexually assaulted by someone at some place but what I know is I’ve never sexually assaulted anyone," he said.
Ford has stated that she is sure Kavanaugh was the man who allegedly assaulted her in an episode that she says has caused her decades of emotional trauma.
The full interview is scheduled to air at 7 p.m. EST.
They have generally moved that direction, but still have some good reporters.

I vote "guilty" on being a virgin. A couple of my best friends in high school are like him.

One of my best male friends did not have sex until he was married. He put Christ first and waited. I have never faulted him for his decision to wait. He is one of the few Christians I know that do not become atheist regarding sex before marriage.

What is the problem with “admitting” it? He’s now a happily married man with 2 daughters.
This is a major statement about who he is.
Any young man can have sex in college and those who don't, unless they look like Quasimodo, have made a decision not to.
You can look at Kavanaugh's education and career and easily see he was a young man with his eyes set firmly on the future. Men like that, young and not so young, know that the future can be ripped from them if they don't stay the course.
I am guessing Kavanaugh was taught this by his parents and priests at Georgetown Prep. They saw his potential and advised him that to attend Yale or any other top school he would have to be a straight arrow.
And it is evident that he was.
Sounds that all a handsome football player from Prep had to do was show his tail around a prominent and now rather infamous local girl's school and he would have to beat them off.
I would imagine that there are some sailors and some Aggies who are swearing up a blue streak at this guy.
Quite a contrast with high schooler Chrissie Blasey, if the rumors on social media are true.
Her allegation against Kavanaugh seems completely like a fabricated political smear. But if it is true her life was 'derailed' and she was depressed through her college years, one wouldn't be surprised if it was related to promiscuity in high school, if indeed that was the case, rather than the claimed attack by Kavanaugh.
The message of feminism that girls should try to be "equal" to guys by being as sexually promiscuous as they are reputed to be can be very damaging to girls.
Tim Tebow has said the same thing....
