Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh on Monday defended himself against the sexual assault allegations roiling his nomination by saying he was a virgin through high school and college.
"We’re talking about an allegation of sexual assault," Kavanaugh said in a clip released from his interview on Fox News Channel's "The Story with Martha MacCallum."
"I’ve never sexually assaulted anyone," Kavanaugh said. "I did not have sexual intercourse or anything close to sexual intercourse in high school or for many years thereafter ... The girls from the schools I went to, and I, were friends."
"Through all these years that were in question, you were a virgin?" Fox News host Martha MacCallum asked.
"That’s correct," Kavanaugh replied, adding that he did not have sex until "many years after" college.
Neither of the two accusations regarding Kavanaugh involve sexual intercourse. Christine Blasey Ford is alleging Kavanaugh held her down and groped her over her clothes during a high school party in 1982, and Deborah Ramirez claims he exposed himself without her consent during a gathering at Yale University a few years later.
Fox News released clips from the interview throughout the evening on Monday.
At another point in the interview, Kavanaugh vowed he is "not going anywhere" despite the allegations.
"I’m not going to let false accusations drive us out of this process," he said, sitting beside his wife as she nodded.
Kavanaugh during the interview denied attending the party in Ford's account.
"[I am] not questioning and have not questioned that perhaps Dr. Ford at some point in her life was sexually assaulted by someone at some place but what I know is I’ve never sexually assaulted anyone," he said.
Ford has stated that she is sure Kavanaugh was the man who allegedly assaulted her in an episode that she says has caused her decades of emotional trauma.
The full interview is scheduled to air at 7 p.m. EST.

I guess its the whole “He’s a virgin thing” I find it really nice that a man waited til he met his soul mate before he had sex..you know he will be teased for this but I don’t think he cares what his family has had to go through, the death threats, etc..I honestly don’t know how he handles it

What a childish statement! In 70s and 80s was one of the biggest revivals in US history, and people/families were getting saved and baptized in HS. Many youth took vows not to have sex until marriage, BIBLICAL! I was very much involved in Christianity during that timeframe! and Still am!
Teens who were called to God for future positions, and college excellence took that energy and applied it to study, work, and no compromise! Thank God, and you would be surprised how many great Conservatives are FAITH FILLED.
SAD, that USA has been so soiled by Dems that a conservative would say such a thing! I am pleased to know that Kavanaugh had the courage of his convictions, for whatever reason, and waited.... obviously using his sexual energies properly took him to higher places than most!
Without these false accusations, Kavanaugh would never have had to tell his personal convictions, actions, now it is for his defense to tell the truth....
Not all people are sexually motivated, and a virgin does not know what they are missing, so avoiding temptation and using that energy to study, work, and dedicate one self to public service is admirable! Everyone is not a pervert, or sex addict...some just have learned how to control their life and urges, though prayer or promise!

I hope that Avenati is now facing disbarment proceedings. He is an officer of the court and I would think there are some very senior judges around (CJ Roberts, where are you) who ought to be taking an interest in this slimeballs efforts to undermine the court system and the reputation of the judiciary. And he should be sued into oblivion, and brought up on charges of suborning perjury along with those who helped pay for it.

I know. I'm thinking I've been neglectful in not teaching my kids to keep a detailed journal, in case some day they rise to a prominent position and some partisan liar tries to take them down with false accusations.
I could have sworn I heard that regarding Ford, the Judge is guilty of rape.
