Predictions of a looming Democratic blue wave havent soured Christian conservative activists, who say President Trump has notched so many surprise wins that they have faith he will again defy the naysayers and deliver Republican victories in November.
Leaders on the religious right are more measured, saying Republican control of the House is very much in jeopardy and warning the Republican faithful not to become overconfident in Mr. Trumps ability to deliver the impossible.
The midterms could be much closer than many expect, Tony Perkins, head of the Family Research Council, told reporters last week. I think what you are going to see is a blue trickle, he said. I dont think you are going to see a red wave.
The activists at the Values Voter Summit, an annual FRC-organized gathering of Christian conservatives, were brimming with optimism after three days of meetings in Washington. They said Mr. Trump has been the ultimate warrior for pro-life and traditional values causes.
I agree with Trump. I think we will see a red wave, said John La Tour, a member of the City Council in Fayetteville, Arkansas. I think Americans will not be fooled by what is going on, and they see the anger of the left and the so-called progressives. I think rational Americans will vote and less-rational Americans will stay home.(continued)

Been saying it all along
Why would CNN/MSNBC/NBC/ABC/NYT etc ever say President Trump is going to prevail in November? Their subscribers would drop them in a second. Its all about advertisement dollars
I think Christian conservatives will show up just as they did in 2016 — maybe even more so. Some were “iffy” 11/2016 and didn’t vote. Now they know they can trust Trump.
(And nobody I know in this community believes the charges against Kavanaugh. It’s a non-issue, unless fighting the lies is another impetus for going to the polls.)
That’s because a recent survey showed Evangelicals (Christian Conservatives) plan to vote even more for Trump this time than in 2016. The numbers of Blacks and Hispanics moving to support Republican candidates is very significant. This factor is being ignored by pollsters but it will surface in November.
Absolutely yes! Christians who were unsure and didn’t vote in 2016 will vote now. I know several and they all unanimously support President Trump. He’s garnered so much support and respect from the Christian community, it’s a sign that God is in control and will continue to bless our country.
Believing is good, but remember, God helps those whio help themselves.
Be sure to get out and VOTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As Mohammad once said “tie up your camels first, and then trust in Allah.”
Sit home, and the sorts of people who are lodging these allegations against Brett Kavanaugh will be ruling over you.
“Sit home, and the sorts of people who are lodging these allegations against Brett Kavanaugh will be ruling over YOU.”
I assume by “you” it’s the plural, and not singular (meaning me). There’s no way on God’s green earth I would consider not voting for the GOP candidates in November. Waiting in line to vote for Trump on 11/8/16 was one of the most exciting days ever.
Actually, God helps those who CANT help themselves...if you want to get technical about it... Thats the Gospel message..
No, not at all.
What will turn back the blue wave, is the non traditional MAGA voter being engaged and motivated....
Trump rally’s won’t be enough for this.. and sadly Republicans themselves haven’t even tried to speak to these people... let alone give them a reason to engage and show up.
Sadly, the best chance for the GOP to stop the democratic enthusiasm gap, is the Democrats themselves... the crazier and more moonbat they behave, the better republicans will do.. in spite of their incompetence.
It appears the gross overplay in the Kavanaugh situation is indeed going to motivate those non traditional MAGA voters, so long as the R’s grow a spine and don’t cave...
Trump and Republican candidates need to go out there and call this spade a spade, be respectful to the women, but flat out frame this as YOU VOTED FOR TRUMP TO DO THIS, and they are trying to undo YOUR election.. don’t let them.
Trump alone can’t do it, but if the GOP circles around this honest messaging, and show they get the MAGA agenda and show they WILL FIGHT for America... they will hold the house... If they cave on Kavanaugh.. or they keep sticking with this stupid “my democrat oponent is a pelosi clone”... they will lose the house.
Trump has no power except that which was given to him by God. The same goes for any of us.
That’s what we have in TX: complacency.

Wrong! Christians believe God can turn away the blue wave, if He wishes. The bible says God puts kings in power, and take them out of power.
As Christians, we must pray without ceasing, and vote.
