Sen. Chuck Grassley, the chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, late Sunday slammed Senate Democrats for withholding information from the committee regarding new sexual misconduct allegations against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.
The Iowa Republican said the committee will attempt to evaluate the new claims, but said in a statement “it appears that they [Democrats] are more interested in a political takedown" than “pursing allegations through a bipartisan and professional investigative process.”
His office released the statement after two new allegations emerged against Kavanaugh.
Deborah Ramirez, 53, a former Yale classmate, said he exposed himself and thrusted his penis in her face during a drunken dormitory party, according to an article in The New Yorker.
Ramirez claimed Kavanaugh exposed himself to her while she was intoxicated during a drinking game in the 1983-84 academic year, when Kavanaugh was a freshman. She also claimed she inadvertently touched Kavanaugh's penis when she pushed him away and says the incident left her "embarrassed and ashamed and humiliated."

The dims on the committee tried stalilling with their demands of the extra papers they wanted. When that failed they had to drum up more stall tactics so when this one passes they’ll bring up something else.
This will move forward only when (if?) Flake and his angels give their assent.
Grassley is a damned old fool who should now retire. The Republicans are damned fools to be held hostage by such stinking cowards as Collins and Murkowski. It can only be hoped that six years from now the Trump Party will have taken out the Grassley, Sasse, Alexander, Cornyn, McConnel, Rubio, Burr, Collins, Murkowski, etc., garbage.
That kind of approach isn't going to get you anywhere politically.
Can anyone explain why the testimony by Ford will be delayed until Thursday? Is it to give the democrats more time to drum up more false witnesses?
Women who have any recollection of being assaulted by any current democrat leadership must come forward. We can create a sexual assault committee.
But we start with Corey Booker who has admitted sexual assault. That’s one is easy. Boot him first. Then Keith Ellison’s relatively fresh charges.
This was entirely predictable between Clarence Thomas and recently savaging Roy Moore with 40 year old charges.
The senate should also pass a rule. If a woman feels confident enough to make these kind of claims she must first file criminal charges.

It is very painful to watch the pseudo crucifixion of an innocent man..Yes, I believe with all my heart that he is innocent and I believe that the God in Heaven will eventually send consequences to those who falsely portray him or accuse him. Those consequences may not come until the end of their lives but they will come. The dishonest and cruel, in the end, never end well.
They’ve over played their hand. They won’t be able to pull this stunt in the future. It’s done. Finished. And so might they be when they’ve ticked off enough of the voters.
Yes, unfortunately it appears the Left will be able to roll Grassley with one phony claim after another for the rest of Trump’s time in office.
Grassley is just an inept version of Harry Reid.
Kavanaugh can’t fold. I hope that Grassley will go ahead and hold the interview on Thursday and then a vote will occur.
