WASHINGTON Judge Brett M. Kavanaugh has calendars from the summer of 1982 that he plans to hand over to the Senate Judiciary Committee that do not show a party consistent with the description of his accuser, Christine Blasey Ford, according to someone working for his confirmation.
The calendars do not disprove Dr. Blaseys allegations, Judge Kavanaughs team acknowledged. He could have attended a party that he did not list. But his team will argue to the senators that the calendars provide no corroboration for her account of a small gathering at a house where he allegedly pinned her to a bed and tried to remove her clothing.
The calendars show, according to the person working for his confirmation, that he was out of town much of the summer at the beach or away with his parents. When he was at home, the calendars list his basketball games, movie outings, football workouts and college interviews. A few parties are mentioned but include names of friends other than those identified by Dr. Blasey.

NEXT sentance - "Yet."
Seems like we’ve had an influx from the dump. Lol.
Seems like we’ve had an influx from the dump. Lol.
Now, Democrats and Team Ford have the opportunity to create a counter narrative.
The element of surprise is gone.
She has been steadfast that she was 15 at the time. Also, she was wearing a bathing suit so it has to be summer. So shes pretty well locked into summer of 82 unless she wants to change her story yet again. - randitaI agree that I certainly would have held that back, and demanded a specific date. Nothing wrong with warning that you do have documentation for quite a few dates, tho - to intimidate Ford into folding instead of rolling the dice. The swimsuit is quite a problem with the story, tho - now that she knows that he has an alibi for a lot of the summer.
Quite the contrast, between a vague timeframe of a year or so, on the one hand, and a marked-up calendar for that year, on the other.
SNORT!
🤠
No... Disagree. I want her to not show up. To come up with more excuses and demands and be a no show...
Question for everyone....What if Fords attorney wants the calendars as a condition of testifying.....
Description of the calendars from the article:
“The calendar pages are one-month pages with each day in a small box. Unusual for a teenager, Judge Kavanaugh seemed to keep track of his days even during summer vacation. The pages show typical teenage activities from the era, including beach week after the end of the school year and nights at the theater to see Grease II, Rocky III and Poltergeist with friends.”
Let’s hope the documentation is not on one of those early machines. You may have trouble reading those early files.
This is going to be a huge problem for historians 100, 500,and 1,000 years in the future. Nothing is on paper a dm ink any more.
Ive got all my 1040s. I mean all of them
.
In 1964 I made $1040. (My first full year in the military).
“Is it true Ms. Ford has requested not to testify under oath?”
I have not heard that. If true, there will be no testimony on Thursday, or any other day.
I do see how this helps Kavanaugh.
In big ways and small ways. A single, solitary, pinned down day remembered or not remembered isn’t key. What is key is that the year is allegedly ‘82 according to her best recollection. Pool parties? Bathing suit under regular clothing? Probable time of year? Kavanaugh having contemporaneous calendars of his whereabouts and doings that year and other close years in time?
Versus...what does SHE have, and she’s the accuser.
And she is acting full on THE VICTIM and making absurd, impossible demands on everyone. She and her lawyer REFUSE to acknowledge that Kavanaugh deserves ANYTHING. That the Senate Committee, the American people, deserve ANY consideration.
Yes, it helps the picture for him, if true...
Thanks ... I agree. She’s got to raise her right hand or stay home :)
Probably another rumor ....
Per others in the thread: 1) it establishes seriousness, sobriety, attention to detail and integrity; 2) it throws the “prosecution” off balance as they do not know what else he has and they cannot let her pin down a date now.
Yep. He’s an OCD geek who’d not even think of what he’s accused of.
Doubt hed write down went to party. Alcohol plentiful. Ran into pretty girl. She turned me down. Damn it.
Right after Fineswine releases the original, unredacted letter.
Number one, Kavanaugh does not appear to have any vices. Your senior year, esp the Summer before. Youre on a high. If you have vices, they show in spades, eg. Drinking, drugs, sexual addiction, weirdness, etc. Sounds like Kavanaugh was a straight guy. Definitely out of character that he would go to a crazy party, at someones house, parents gone, his mother is a judge, hed get drunk, pounce on some drunk girl in a bathing suit.
WAS HE DATING ANYONE AT THE TIME?????????!!!!!!!!! THAT WOULD BE REAL BIG ALIBI....
If she has any chance to winning this she will.
