The new NBC News-Wall Street Journal survey, taken six weeks before Americans head to the polls, shows Democrats leading Republicans by 52 percent to 40 percent for control of Congress. If it holds, that 12 percentage point margin would suggest a "blue wave" large enough to switch control of not just the House but also the Senate.

[I have a relative who just got cable. They ask questions like whats this FISA?]
Democrats certainly do depend upon Low-Information Voters.
I was friends with a smart guy. BUT he never watched anything other than the MSM. He had no idea they were feeding him nothing but Democrat propaganda.
And I also have a relative similar to yours. He is convinced that President Trump is in fact, giving America to the Russians. When I asked for even ONE example, he couldn’t provide it. And yet he cannot see the logical disconnect.
The cryptic patriot has become even more private as the left has gotten more totalitarian. Who in their right mind would admit to being conservative to a random caller when the leftist bastards infesting government and corporate America will harass and punish them? Polls are meaningless now.
Thoughts?
Get out the vote
That is the key
We wont win every election because Trump beat Hillary. I have a relative who just got cable. They ask questions like whats this FISA?

Exactly, the cluelessness of a huge chunk of the electorate is shocking. It’s easy to see why so many political thinkers in the past hold democracy to be the least stable, effective, and desirable form of government.
“Why, she could even win in TEXAS!”
Yeah! All election night we heard that “Texas is still in play” — until it wasn’t. Not even a little bit.
If you know any real Trump voters, ask them if they are going to vote this November?
We have a lot of friends and relatives from the East Coast down to Floriduh, to the Mid West/South West, to the left Coast.
All of them/us will be voting for Republicans as soon as we get our mail in ballots.
Same goes for the independent voters, who didn’t vote two years ago. They got their tax cuts and they will be voting.
Just in the past week there was a warning against Demwit overconfidence, IOW, don't trust the polls, we've made them up.
Pure lunacy.
Right now, I have 10 sure R-D flips, tempered by 2 MN D-R flips, for 8. I have 7 others on the bubble.
For the life of me, I can’t find another 8 seats the Ds will win in the House.
They will get absolutely blown out in the senate, losing MO, MT, IN, FL, ND, AZ, and almost certainly now NV and OH (new poll has Rennacci down only 2.6 . . . from 8 just six weeks ago) and OH has a monster GOP lead in registration. So I now think both Heller & Renacci pull it out. Walker will likely pull Vukmir over. That’s 9 seats folks, without a longshot like MI or NJ or WV coming in.
The NBC/WSJ one completed 19 Sept shows D+8. Not sure what CNBC idiots are smoking.
A poll? I remember those things.
No wonder this slanted POS article is so inaccurate.. John Harwood is the writer.
Harwood is CNBCs answer to Eugene Robinson and EJ Dionne. Hes to be ignored.
Actually, Georgia is in play for the Democrats. Polls are what they are, but Stacy Abrams is a complete fraud and is still very much in the game, if not in the lead right now.
Just saying this is subject to swamp juices
If this is true, then maybe CNBC can answer this:
Name a congressional district that voted Republican in 2016, that is now so angry at President Trump that they will flip and vote Democrat in 2018.
For the life of me, I can’t think of one.
There will be no Blue Wave.
Maybe the Virginia and Texas districts. Also Pennsylvania is redistricting and that may help Democrats.
I don't think it so much that everybody in these districts is taking up arms against Trump. Rather, a two or three percent swing can put the district in the Democrats' camp.
Ignore polls.
Just get out and VOTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They just don’t fight like Trump. They’re going to need his help.
Sorry pollsters, but you are either dreaming or lying. The voters are not giving you anything truthful, just like you do t give us anything truthful.
So my estimate of 10 to 13 wasn't crazy ;-)
13 would be running the table and the longshot of longshots coming in Geoff Diehl over Liz Warren.
So LS am I out to lunch on that race or does Geoff Diehl have a decent shot like my gut is telling me? IMHO it is so parallel Stabenow here in MI, they are both arrogant, and think it is theirs, and they have real gladiators as their opponents, they won't even see it coming...
