The GOP has a very long history of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. They are only marginally better than the Dem’s.

I was “done forever” with politics for a number of years. Then came “The Donald” and I came out of “retirement” to vote just for him. Looks like I will be returning to the side lines as the party he is aligned with won’t lift a finger to fight back.
WEAKLINGS! I say: It is PAST time to hold the Kavanaugh vote, and discard DemocRAT distractions. She missed deadline after deadline. And look at her supporters! Cory Spartacus said he was a groper, didn’t he? We know Blumenthal lied about his “war” record and Feinstein kept a ChiCom spy on staff for 20 years and then covered it up with the help of Comey’s FBI. Kamala and Hironi are certifiably insane.

1. This is not a time for Republicans to be poll conscious. They will come out looking good if they stick together. Withdrawal would only make things worse, and all will be forgotten by low-information swing voters after confirmation.
2. I’ve noticed that Fox pols lean more Democrat than others. Any explanation?
60 days ago 99% of the population had no clue who judge Kavanaugh was. They just hate him because he is a Republican.

All of the people on this thread who are calling BS on this poll are making a very serious mistake. What is important about this poll is that it shows a trend that is more likely to be correct. It shows that the Democrat strategy is working with considerable help from the Trump hating media. They have changed people’s minds, mostly people who are not paying attention and won’t pay attention, but are ready to buy the stuff that the Democrats and the media are selling. Don’t ignore this.
Four people are paying attention to this, and they don’t care what you think. Those four people are Senators Collins, Corker, Flake, and Murkowski. Their vote is much more important than this silly poll, but they are certainly paying attention to it and it may affect their votes.
I am convinced that Ford’s handlers know that they can’t put Ford under oath, subject to cross examination. But, since this delay strategy is working, why would they do so? The only way to stop it is to vote. The committee must vote on Monday in order to allow a full Senate vote by Friday, and then vote. If Ford is a no show, it will be very hard for the wobbly four to vote against Kavanaugh. If she testifies on Thursday, I think that the opinion of the people and the opinion of the Senate will change instantly.
The major players in this drama know more about Dr. Ford and her allegation than do we. That knowledge is why the Democrats won’t allow her to testify. Call their bluff and vote.
How heavy did they oversample Dems? Fox polls were some of the worst in the primaries.
Was at at neighborhood gathering last night - all of us older mostly GOP voters - not one person thought he will be confirmed. All expect the GOP to fold like a wet cardboard box.
