Fox Business ^ | September 21st, 2018 | Lou Dobbs

Posted on 09/22/2018 9:35:20 AM PDT by Mariner

In this segment (starting at the 20:00min mark), Gregg Jarrett says the State of Maryland has no Statute of Limitations on sexual assault.

And that Ford should pursue her quest for "justice" with the State of Maryland.

Not the political theater of the Senate committee.

She won’t file a police report or testify under oath. Their are severe penalties for false/embellished reports and perjury.

Ok. But, what are the elements of the crime of sexual assault? (and why now do the speakers use “sexual assault” instead of “rape” when a case is clearly a rape? Not saying this applies to this case, just curious). Also, to what degree? I will look it up myself when I'm done working.

Literally every heterosexual man in America could be falsely accused of sexual assault from 20, 30, 40, 50 or 60 years ago and sent to prison.

This is insanity.

Baseless allegation doesn’t fly in the legal system.

Right, but this is Maryland, a deep, perma-blue state where everything is influenced by liberalism.

Crystal Mangum managed a more believable story in the laCrosse team accusations than Ford has managed, so far.

Ford’s ‘handlers’ are trying to help her fill in gaps, as parts of her story fall apart.

How long before she shows up on TV, next to her attorney, and showing a pencil drawing of herself as she might have appeared in 1982?

Montgomery County Maryland

AFAIK the "victim" does not recall where the incident occured - was it DC? Montgomery County? Prince Georges? Maybe it was in Virginia?

Identify the house.
Locate the police who patrol that city.
Tell them.
They’ll maybe look into it.
If there’s something, then something might happen.
If there isn’t anything, then nothing will happen.

Right now the charge comes from a memory dredged up from a therapy session just a few years ago. Picture a public prosecutor taking that to the court, with a team of $1000/hour attorneys at the defense table a few feet away.

Good luck with that.

Who said it happened in Maryland?..surely not the victim. Your mind is filling in all the blanks for her sketchy narrative. You weren’t there...and neither was she.

Any felony sexual assault in Maryland is unbounded by a statute of limitations. Not just rape.

Next SCOTUS nominee will be a WOMAN! Very difficult to accuse a woman of rape.

I had dinner last Sunday with 2 of my sons-—both in their 50s.

Much joking about this sort of thing——going back to high school days etc.

Exactly - there’s a reason she doesn’t want any else’s lawyer there

where was it?
when did it happen?
who else was there?
how did you get to the location? how did you get home from the location?
how is it you “happened to remember it during the therapy session” — what was the topic of the session, what did they do to “uncover” the memory? Who exactly did you mention during the session (hint, it wasn’t Kavanaugh)

Many States under the pressure of radical feminism and homosexual abuse of children Have extended or eliminated their sexual crimes statute of limitations. That is recent history. At the time these alleged events occurred there was a statute limitations.
The new laws that are currently in force in such States are not retroactive neither are they allowed to be used in ex post facto manner. Garrett is wrong and those who agree with him are as well. I’m old and I no longer meddle in legal issues anywhere.

Her allegation doesn’t mention rape, but I wouldn’t be surprised if Maryland doesn’t try to make this a rape case. What’s the statute of limitations on going to second base? How many violations like that are out there for exploiting?
This whole thing is nuts.
