...follow the Interstate 5 Freeway and tunnel under the 4,144 ft-Tejon Pass to link Los Angeles and Bakersfield. If they want to avoid the steep grade up to Lebec from Bakersfield and then down to Castaic, they are going to have to tunnel about 25 miles!
They must be smoking a lot of recreational weed, because this project just keeps setting new "highs" in stupidity.

There already are commuter trains which are used because a lot of people live up that way and work in LA, and this is a route that could actually serve people.
