Conservative firm CRC Public Relations helped lawyer and activist Ed Whelan through the process of promoting an unfounded theory about the sexual assault allegation against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, sources told Politico Friday.
Whelan used Twitter to unveil between Tuesday and Thursday an unsubstantiated alibi for Kavanaugh in an attempt to exonerate him of the accusation from Christine Blasey Ford that he sexually assaulted her at a party while the two were in high school in the 1980s.
Whelan identified another former classmate of Kavanaugh in a series of tweets, in which he shared floor plans, maps and other photographs to suggest that Ford may have confused Kavanaugh with the other student.
Ford roundly denied this assertion in a statement reported by The Washington Post.
"There is zero chance that I would confuse them," she said.
Whelan has since deleted the tweets and apologized.
According to Friday's Politico report, CRC aided Whelan in this process.
Two sources said that after failing to gain traction from reporters on his theory, Whelan worked with CRC's president, Greg Mueller, to devise a strategy that would draw attention to it. This strategy involved teasing the reveal, tweeting that By one week from today, I expect that Judge Kavanaugh will have been clearly vindicated on this matter.
It is worth that noting that apart from mentioning this discussion about strategy, the report does not actually describe how the CRC assisted Whelan.
CRC did not immediately respond to requests for comment from The Hill.
Does anyone know anything about CRC Public Relations?
There client list doesn't look conservative:
This is why I do not donate to The Republican Party and will no longer. I will donate to Trump and very few Republicans and no Evil Democrats again.
The Hill is pushing Politico lies its even more more far left .
... and the female classmate's 7 miles
OK -- Ignore my silly Post #71. LOL.

Wow. “Promoting an unfounded theory about an allegation”??? This is Orwellian crazy talk.
Did you hear that Kevin McCarthy ad on Hannity today? Unbelievable. Still no anti-Gillum ads. GOP isn’t helping DeSantis at all.
Of course, Ford’s accusation isn’t an “unfounded theory” to the same partisan media shills, despite the exact same amount of evidence.
As opposed to the unfounded sexual assault allegation lodged by Professor Christine Ford?
Whelan offered up a theory, I haven't heard him claim that it is a fact. On the other hand, Ford claims her evidence free allegation has to be true. Presumably under the Social Justice Law of Nature that women are incapable of lying about these sorts of things.
Let's see what she says under oath.
Per radio news, Ford has said she knows Garrett, and she is not confusing him with Kavanaugh.
Two huge new Rick Scott signs in my neighborhood today. Nothing for DeSantis. It’s pretty clear the FL GOP isn’t helping DeSantis at all. MAGA candidates need not apply, apparently.
“This is why I do not donate to The Republican Party and will no longer. I will donate to Trump and very few Republicans and no Evil Democrats again.”
That is exactly what I am doing. I am sending most of my money to President Trump to distribute as he sees fit and some directly to a few candidates.
Wheres the Hills expose of the leftist firm thats pushing Feinstein and Fords unfounded theory?
This is a nothing propaganda story. Ford cant even prove the party happened let alone that she met Kavanaugh.
It was a theory to show, based upon readily established fact that there was a reasonable alternative to K being the perp. This is reasonable doubt...
It is an established line of defense among defense attorneys.
The kid who lived in the house was more than likely one who was at the party like Ed said.
Great call!
