Citing “sources,” Fox News’ Shannon Bream reports on the demands Christine Blasey Ford and her legal team are making as a condition for her testifying about her allegations against Brett Kavanaugh:

These demands are absurd. No questions from lawyers? I guess Ford wants to be able to claim she’s being persecuted by an all-white-male panel. She doesn’t want a woman to examine her, which I imagine is what the Republicans have in mind.
But effective cross-examination is the best way to get at the truth. And in-practice lawyers, not politicians who once may have practiced law, generally make the best cross-examiners.
If Ford is telling the truth she shouldn’t be afraid of lawyers. The Committee should reject this demand.
Kavanaugh can’t be in the room? Say what? Ford is accusing Kavanaugh of a crime. Criminal defendants aren’t booted out of the courtroom when their accusers testify. As the accused, albeit not in a criminal proceeding, the interests of justice demand that Kavanaugh be confronted with the witness against him.
Kavanaugh must testify first? Give me a break. The accuser always goes first, whether in a criminal or a civil proceeding. How else can the accused defend himself against what’s actually being alleged?
I hope that the swing GOP Senators — e.g. Flake and Collins — will see the absurdity of Ford’s demands, so that Chairman Grassley confidently can reject them outright. If he does, there’s a good chance Ford will back down. If she doesn’t, the Committee can vote immediately.
They don’t want her in front of anyone who might subpoena her and put her under oath...now they’re setting the stage for “tell all” book deal by creating some extra drama....
Ford is not demanding anything. People wise up. Its not Ford. Its the democrat lawyers that have barely ever met her. Ford does not know to ask for an FBI investigation. She does not know anything but to shut up. The democrat party is talking for her. They are making the demands. And the demands are only there to delay the Senate vote. Nothing else.

What would you do if you suddenly realized you CAN’T, absolutely CAN’T, go in front of a committee to testify without perjuring yourself?
You’d make up list of insane demands for the hearing. When they (obviously) reject them, you can walk away, saying they were gonna “railroad” ya.

Aproximately how many people were at the party?
Who’s house was hosting the party?
Can we get a list of the people you remember being at the party?
what year did this take place?
Are you still in therapy?
Are you on any medications either legal or illegal?
Can we get a urine sample?
Were you charging for your services at these parties?
Do you know or are you friends with Stormy Daniels?
Is she an idol for you?
How long were you married?
you have 4 children?

How about the police? The FBI? School counselor? parents? Friend? How about your dog or cat, did you even tell them about it?

She's had 36 years to gather her thought about an alleged 7 minute event. What in the world could she possibly accomplish in a "few days" now, that she couldn't in previous 36 years?
I have a thought. She needs the extra few days to learn a completely new script that her attorneys are coaching her on. I personally believe she was shitfaced 15 year old kid that night. Can't remember all details about what happened and feels remorse and shame about what she had or had not participated in.

Because they don't want to give him a chance to answer her ridiculous allegations. They want him to go first, when all he can say basically is "I'm a nice guy, no I didn't do any of that..." Then let her regurgitate the carefully prepared lies intended to assassinate his character with innuendo and unsupported vague claims - while skating over the thin ice of perjury for Ms. Ford.
This whole thing is obviously a farce! It is political theater and pure fiction. Ms. Ford is a liar, pure and simple.
Grassley and the Republicans will bend to these demands. Kavanaugh testifies Monday and she will get to do her show on Thursday.
Given Grassley’s comments the other day that he “wanted to make her comfortable”, I’m pretty sure he’ll cave.
