I’m beginning to think this whole thing was designed for the sole purpose of giving the Democrat senators running for re-election in red states cover to vote against Kavanaugh. The old “I was going to vote for Judge Kavanaugh but I can’t, in good conscience, do so now without a thorough investigation into the validity of these recent charges like was done when Clarence Thomas faced the Anita Hill charges.” McCaskill is already using it. We’ll see how it works.
So is suborning perjury, which is what Feinstein and Schumer et al are doing. They are controlling whether and then this puppet shows up for the puppet show.
It is difficult for one to maintain such a finely tuned story once one is being questioned under oath. The letter was very carefully crafted, but testimony is messy.
The Senators will be asking a bunch of inconvenient questions about when, where, who and how. If she gives answers to any of those questions, she is providing details that can be proven false.
If I were her lawyer, I would insist that she will only appear before the committee to read her letter, and not answer any questions.
Heck, even is what she says is true (which I do not believe), after decades have passed, the chance of her getting some detail wrong is very high. A lawyer would have to be a fool to expose her client to questioning in a situation like this.

If she pulls that “Changed her Mind but needs more time” stunt this weekend, I hope Grassley tells her to go pound sand. If she does do this though, look for Collins and Flake to go along with her.
If she misses the 10AM Friday deadline, Grassley should call the Committee to order that afternoon and take the vote. This way, he takes away the weekend for her to pull another delay.
Maybe she’s just tired of hearing “Yes”. From her own mouth.
Progressives have never believed in "fair". They believe in power. They do not believe in God, morals, or ethics. This is a core believe in their political philosophy.

The question is why would anyone give serious consideration to one accusation alleged occurred 36 years ago when a high school kid. Is this what we are reduced too? What is next? Kindergarten pulling of pig tails?

Ford won’t testify because this is a CIA “work”. According to Bloomberg of all places Fords’ parents have CIA connections and her father was a CIA money man. The rumors about the letter sent being sent during the Gorsuch hearing are most probably true. That’s why Grassley is trying to get his hands on the unredacted one.
Many here are speculating why the DOJ and FBI haven’t released the FISA documents yet. This is what makes the most sense to me. Let’s start at the Russian dossier, look into the wives of the FBI men fired or let go, all have CIA connections. Russiagate is a CIA work, Brennan is up to his mulitple chins in the mess.
Now let’s move on to Trumps E.O. declassifying the FISA stuff and the texts. The justification to declassify comes from an Obama E.O. of 2016 so Trump is well inside the scope of the E.O. There’s a lot more to Trumps order than meets the eye. This information is one very big step in de-legitimizing the CIA and doing what JFK wanted which was reigning in this unaccountable beast.
To that end, the CIA is holding the Kavanaugh hearing hostage to try to get Trump to reclassify the FISA report and texts. It ain’t gunna work, Trumps’ holding firm and the white hats are outing this Ford woman. The black hats thought they had the upper hand. It’s all a deep state scam, Fineswine is owned, that’s why she’s the face of this (think Chinese spy).
What is reported merely scratches the surface of the D.C. pig sty, don’t believe a word of it.
