FULL TITLE: NFLs Nightmare Becomes Reality As Monday Night Football Posts Worst Week 2 Ratings EVER Recorded
The NFL is not going to fold. They are way too big to be derailed by a controversy like this but theres no doubt they have lost fans which means they have lost money that they didnt need to lose.
From Breitbart:
The ratings for Week Twos Monday Night Football game between the Chicago Bears and the Seattle Seahawks, crashed to the lowest numbers ever recorded for a Week Two Monday night game.
Thats bad no matter how you slice it.

However, the end result is always the same: I can only 'watch' a few plays or a few minutes before I turn the game off. They are simply insufferably boring; no action, penalty, commercial. I mean, it's like the old midnight movies where the commercials become 10-15 minutes near the end daring you to switch.
It appears the the NFL simply has no self awareness - it's like there's hasn't been a decline, or there isn't a boycott underway. And the commercials. It's like Trump wasn't elected and it's still 2015 ie themes, emphasis, targeted audience, etc.
Crazytown - the NFL really thought they were too big. I hold they could have maybe, perhaps outlasted the political optics, but offering up unwatchable entertainment is the unpardonable sin.
Pegging the old schadenfreude meter and loving every minute of it.
It will take at least a decade, likely longer.
That’s how big a cash reserve the NFL is sitting on.
Unfortunately they can continue to be stupid for quite a long time before going bankrupt.
Just like how I believe if the country goes Socialist we won’t actually become Venezuela until long after you and I are gone. This country literally has THAT much wealth they can loot.
Do what you want, but just understand that their money isn't in ticket sales, it is in the TV rights contracts they have with the networks.
After being burned twice in his encounters with the NFL, I suspect Rush wouldn’t piss on the commissioner if he was on fire. It’s probably all he can do to restrain himself from indulging in a gleeful snicker and snort any time he mentions the NFL on the show.
The NFL hates america and doesnt know how to display love.
Yep. Well aware. And after the letters have been written relaying my disgust for what some do, I will continue to support those that stand.
“NFL?
Whats that?”
Nauseating Fools Lazing.
Want your rating back NFL? .....fire any SOB that does not stand and respect our flag....case closed!!!
Who is the female? Yikes. I cannot listen to that one.
NFL = Nazi Fascist Leftists
Worst Week 2 Ratings EVER Recorded.
Hmmm? I wonder whats caused that?
Went into a ‘strip mall” NFL store/tattoo gun supply house on Saturday. The owner said all the NFL crap (90 % of the store) was 60% off. He blamed it on the internet/Amazon free shipping, yadda, yadda, yadda.
I bought a hand crafted chainsawed lil cute bear that sets on my front porch and waves “Hi” to everyone.
There hasn’t been a combo like Cossell, Meredith and Gifford since. Listening to Cossell pontificate while Meredith bursts his bubble and Gifford plays straight man was quite an experience. (”Turn out the lights, the party’s over.”) The only sports combo that came close was Dizzy Dean and PeeWee Reese.
Hockey pre-season just started.
Didn’t Vince McMahon say he was going to start up a new legume?
Too many are still filling the stands.
But.......Beth Mowins heads the announcers for Monday Night Football now. Surely you must appreciate her dulcet tones and scintillating insights into the game.
Remembering..."Dandy Don it certainly seems that there is a plethora of passing in the game tonight. Wouldn't you agree?
"Well, Howard. I don't know about that. But both teams are really throwing a lot of passes."
