The president of Poland is telling President Donald Trump that he'd like the U.S. to create a permanent American base in Poland that would be named Fort Trump.
Trump says that he's considering the idea and that Poland has offered more than $2 billion to the U.S. to pay for such an effort.

Things like this make me love that fact that my maternal grandparents were from Poland.
In fact, as a child, my mother was fluent in Polish.
But, as an adult, she doesn’t remember much.
That just amazes me.
It truly is.... use it or lose it.
She got in trouble once when she wouldn’t speak Polish in public. Told my grandmother it wasn’t cool.
That’s the best idea I have heard in ages.
It would be keep American great and make Poland great again.
I don’t want a base in Poland. I want to troops in Germany to come home and guard the border.
We don’t need to be Europe’s thankless babysitter anymore.
Take them from Germany.
At the very least, this is a potential bargaining chip with Germany, who would be the big losers if US forces were moved from Germany to Poland.

You know this is a great idea. Poland is closer to Russia than Germany, it will cost half as much for soldiers families to live in Poland as in Germany. Poland didn’t let the Muzzies take over Poland like Merkel did.
Poland pays its NATO bill 100 percent, Germany promises to pay up some time after Trump leaves the White House.
I would say we should have a Lawrence Welk day and we all dance the Polish Polka, and have a dish of Pierogies and Sausages

Just like the last aircraft carriers have been named after Republicans and, beautifully, one entire CLASS of vessel named for Gerald R. Ford.
The Bush is an Aircraft carrier. The Ronald Reagan is an aircraft carrier. The USS Donald Trump will be an aircraft carrier.
The USS obama will be a garbage scow.
