Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh and the woman accusing him of sexual crimes during a party when the two were teenagers will testify in public on Monday.
The public hearing could be pivotal to Kavanaugh's confirmation, which was on a glide path until Christine Blasey Ford came forward publicly with her accusations on Sunday.

I have been asked to not criticize FR’s protected senate candidate but I am at a loss why any but the most die-hard Trump foes would object to Kavanaugh. If Kavanaugh gets turned down do they think the next choice will be better? And if it is then delayed until after midterms, do they think that is good? I listened to almost all of the Kavanaugh hearings and think he is an incredible choice, likely should become Chief Justice when Roberts retires. What am I missing here?
Grassley let the Senate he runs look like an embarrassment.

Isn't that the point ? The technique that these politicians use to attack ? All it takes is one woman making a 'claim'. No trials needed, no evidence asked for.
That is exactly right. If they run to a microphone now all they could do is call her a liar or otherwise defame her and look bad doing it. Once she's in front of the committee they can ask her anything they want about her story and it will be appropriate. The left can howl then but it will be hollow because they called for it.
Who can forget when the left organized fights and a riot at the Trump campaign rally in Chicago, forcing it to be canceled. Cruz jumped at the chance to pile on with the Democrats and media and blamed Trump's rhetoric for the atmosphere. Politically tone deaf.
