According to a CBC article citing a Senior Canadian Official, the Trudeau government is completely comfortable missing an October 1st deadline to join the U.S-Mexico trade alliance:
The source who spoke to CBC News on background, due to the sensitivity of the talks, said the external political pressure is not a good enough reason, for Canada to be forced into a fast finish. (more)
This statement follows a series of actions by Canadian Foreign Minister Chrystia Freeland and Justin Trudeau which highlights their intent to resist any trade agreement while counting on domestic politics to deliver electoral forgiveness. Indeed for all intents and purposes it would appear Justin and Chrystia are willing to damage their economy for political benefit. (emphasis mine)

The Honda Accord is over 75% US/Canada parts and is assembled in the USA. There are plenty of others - but it’s mostly foreign marques making and assembling here, while the domestics went overseas.
I’m fine with that. The people up in Canada need a fresh lesson in why you do not elect Trudeaus or indeed any liberal.
The CBC is so far left it makes MSNBC look libertarian/conservative.
We in CanaDUH get the pleasure of subsidizing this leftist propaganda organ to the tune of over a BILLION dollars a year.
Taxpayer dollars going to the far left. Whodathunkit?
If there is going to be no more trade with Canada, can they at least take Jim Carrey and Ryan Gosling back? We have plenty of home-made doofuses and don’t need imports.
Put a tariff on beaver jerky. That will show these pathetic hosers.
Canada is about to cut off its nose in spite of its face. How is that ‘BULLHOCKEY?”
Yup. The first offer from the Donald and his band of merry wolverines (trade negotiators) is the best it's gonna get. All down hill from there.
Sundance has done a terrific job reporting on the trade negotiations.....and these thick headed people who think they will pull a fast one on President Trump.
Justina keeps thinking if he make the US a goofy offer then they will meet in the middle? Hehehehe. This is all about Canuck identity politics at the expense of the middle class working people.

You just have to laugh at these silly socialist who don't realize the game has changed.
I sure hope Justina's prior job as a snowboard instructor is still available because he is gonna need it after the elections in Canada next year.
Some companies give a complete breakdown showing where their parts come from, and where the vehicle was pieced together.
Looking for examples I ran across this.
It’s one of the “Part 583 American Automobile Labeling Act Reports”.
Here’s the list for 2018. (Codes are broken down at the bottom of the report.

The US is that 800 pound gorilla sitting in your living room. Get around to seriously negotiating or it will cost your national economy dearly.
Perhaps we shouldn’t trade with Canada at all. Maybe we should start the wall on our northern border.
Smarts, don’t it? Gettin’ slammed in the nose messes you all up.
You got that pain shootin’ through your brain.
Your eyes fill up with water. It ain’t any kind of fun.
But what I have to offer you. That’s as good as it’s ever gonna get, and it won’t ever get that good again.
Controlling interest does.
Maybe we sholdn’t pick up the phone next time Putin sends the Bears in for a looksie north of the border?
they do not have controlling interest...

AKA shooting yourself in your own foot and rejoicing about it ... Darwin candidate.
Misread your intention. Didn’t realize you meant Canada. On that, I agree.
Obviously you don’t remember Pearl Harbor!
I have been driving AMERICAN cars all my life. I have NOT been driving inferior cars or ones that needed repairs and constant upkeep. Fool yourself and add to the downgrading of American products if you must. I buy American and DRIVE AMERICAN! Keep your tin can trolleys made by Japs.
Obviously????? You may not have heard. The war is over and Japan is our ally. You must have gone to those schools that never got past world war II in US history.
